W artykule przedstawiono wczesne koncepcje i konstrukcje elektrycznych maszyn reluktancyjnych zwanych w XIX wieku maszynami elektromagnetycznymi. Rozwijane w latach 1830–1860 koncepcje zostały porzucone po udoskonaleniu komutatorowych maszyn prądu stałego i skonstruowaniu maszyn prądu przemiennego z wirującym polem magnetycznym. W ostatnich latach obserwuje się wzrost zainteresowania przełączalnymi maszynami reluktancyjnymi z uwagi na wzrost cen magnesów trwałych i postępy w dziedzinie scalonych modułów mocy.

The early concepts and structures of electrical reluctance motors (electromagnetic motors) were presented in this paper. This ideas were developed in the years 1830–1860, but were abandoned after improving dynamo machines and alternating current machines with rotational magnetic flux. In recent years, an increased interest is noticed in switch reluctance drives due to the rising cost of permanent magnets and advances in the area of intelligent power modules.

The concept of a low pass filter for dumping current ripple has been presented in the paper. The current ripple is the effect of pulse width modulation voltage control. The filter is assigned for sensorless SRM control which take advantage of the current derivation method. Both the basic features of low pass filter and comparative research results concerning the solution described in literature have been presented in the paper.

The paper presents a modeling method of fragment winding short circuit of phase coil of switched reluctance motor (SRM). In this method the simulation model parameters were calculated with the implementation of finite elements method (FEM). The processed numeric model of a switched reluctance motor allows to analyze different cases of inter coil short circuits for a different number of short circuit windings. Static characteristics of a switched reluctance motor (6/4 construction type) for normal conditions and emergency work with different winding short circuits were appointed using a numerical model. The characteristics received by solution of a simulation model were compared with the characteristics obtained in the laboratory.

In the paper selection of basic design parameters for vibration module using reluctance motor is presented. The module is a part of torsional vibration exciter which is a device enabling measurement evaluation of properties of complex drive systems in steady state conditions (e.g. eigenfrequencies). The goal of the design process is decrease of angle harmonics in electromagnetic torque, in particular slot harmonics. Analysis is based on analytical approach using Fourier series method applied to results obtained with the help of 2D Finite Element Method. The most important design alteration resulting from obtained results is the step skew of the rotor core, which enables compensation of chosen torque harmonics. The other result of research is introduction of magnetic wedges in stator slots. Resulting torque – angle characteristic is very smooth and should enable easier control of torque which is the basic requirement for the designed vibration exciter.

New operations often demand not only a further development of available technology with the target of increasing the efficiency but also in some case rethinking and breaking through of traditional structures are necessary, which were developed over the course of the technical development. The goal consists in adapting known active principles so, that they are suited for the technological process. The contribution describes the way to the arrangement of an electrical-hydrostatic gear pump of so far unrivaled integration degree. Originating in the particular physical connections common design guidelines are derived. From these criterions and limits for an integrated arrangement are derived. Furthermore fundamental problems arised from the integration are discussed like the consequences of the partition of the motor, the use of a common tooth form and the working out of a material with sufficient properties for both hands.

Najwyższy stopień integracji w technice może być osiągnięty poprzez użycie elementów spełniających wspólne funkcje. W omawianym przykładzie dotyczy to wspólnego użycia zębów pompy zębatkowej i zębów silnika reluktancyjnego. W artykule tym opisany jest sposób projektowania pompy elektryczno-hydraulicznej z nieosiągniętym do tej pory stopniem integracji. Omówione zostały podstawowe problemy, do których należą m.in. projektowanie wymiarów pompy, użycie wspólnego kształtu zęba, dobór odpowiednich materiałów i konsekwencje podziału silnika. W artykule opisany został również prototyp pompy zębatkowej o mocy 1,1 kW, który znajduje zastosowanie w aplikacjach niskociśnieniowych. Ponadto, omówione zostały zalety i granice integracji funkcjonalnej napędu elektrycznego i pompy.

The issue assign of static characteristics of switched reluctance machines with using finite element method and experimental tests are described in the present work. Computation with using ANSYS software are made for four work out SRM constructions (12/8, 8/6, 6/4, and 4/2). Analysis of magnetic field for discusses SRM models are presented. Characteristics of electromagnetic torque, magnetic flux and inductance coil coefficients as a function current and rotor position angle are also shown. There are presented the results of experimental tests of described machines. Experimental tests are made on laboratory stand with card DS 1104. There are presented conclusion too.

The issue of application Switched Reluctance Motors (SRM) in household equipment are described in the present work. Solutions of the construction of designed switched reluctance motors ( 12/8, 8/6, 6/4, and 4/2) are presented. Some different power converters supplying theses motors are compared. Characteristics torque-angle-current for discuss machines are presented too. Theses characteristics are prepared using finite elements method. Presented formulas make possible optimization of operating point of the machine. Results of experimental tests of the switched reluctance motors i.e. characteristics torque, efficiency and current as a function of speed motor for different control angles are presented. There are presented conclusion too.
