In the paper the methods of determination of optimum share inclination angle in digging units of potato harvesters were presented. The distribution of forces in the share - soil system was also investigated.

In this article a set of methodological concepts of a choice of design and parameters regime for the brush-screw stone separator in a universal modular construction potato combine of the elevator-type has been presented. The research has aimed at a realization of the principle of multi-functionality with reference to AWB, that can provide an improvement in the quality of potato cleaning as a whole and the universality of the developed machine.

The article presents an analysis of the kinematics, working parameters and modes of operation of swing-type digging share with elliptical profile cutting edge, and opportunities for rational operating regime adjustment of the working body under the conditions of operation. Expressions are derived and an analysis of kinematics, working and regime parameters of the swing-type share with elliptical cutting edge is given.
