W artykule przedstawiono projekt wielokondygnacyjnego budynku mieszkalnego ze stropami przewieszonymi i płytą transferową. W pracy analizowano zastosowanie lekkiego betonu kruszywowego jako alternatywy betonu zwykłego, z którego wykonano stropy międzykondygnacyjne. Omówione różnice we właściwościach i sposobie projektowania konstrukcji z obu rodzajów betonu. Dokonano porównania wyników obliczeń - m.in. sił wewnętrznych, ugięć, jak również zapotrzebowania na zbrojenie, a także przedstawiono uproszczoną analizę ekonomiczną obu rozwiązań.

The paper presents a design of the multi-storey residential building with overhang ceilings and transfer slab. The study analyses the use of lightweight aggregate concrete as an alternative to ordinary concrete, from which the inter-story ceilings were made. The differences in the properties and design principles of structural elements made of both types of concrete were discussed. The results of the calculations were compared - including i.a. internal forces, deflections and required reinforcement. A simplified economic analysis of both solutions was also presented.

Julian Pulikowski was an associate professor of Musicology who lectured at the University of Warsaw from 1935-1939. The article proves that although there was no formal possibility to defend a Master’s thesis in this field, Pulikowski became an informal supervisor of Gustawa Zysman’s (Krystyna Żukotyńska’s) work. The idea for the topic was conceived in 1934. Stefan Czarnowski, professor at the Department of Cultural History at the University of Warsaw, became the official thesis supervisor. The work titled Opera repertoire of the National Theater as a contribution to the cultural life of Warsaw in the second half of the 18th century was defended in June 1938. It has hitherto remained unknown to researchers - extant only in a typescript stored in the University of Warsaw Archive - as has been the case with Pulikowski’s letter in which he admits his supervision, held in the Jagiellonian Library in Krakow. Although Zysman obtained a Master’s degree in History, the content of the work indicates that it was, in fact, the first work in Musicology defended at the University of Warsaw.

Wszystkie zrealizowane przez studentów prace wykonane w ramach prac dyplomowych wynikały z potrzeb ośrodków. Zarówno PODGiK w Mikołowie jak i WODGiK w Katowicach nie posiadały baz KSIT w opracowanych przez studentów zakresach. Studenci, wykonując bazy danych w zakresie treści określonych w temacie pracy, przejmowali na siebie rolę wykonawców, którzy opracowywali bazę danych pod nadzorem i kierownictwem współautora referatu, pełniącego rolę ich opiekuna podczas odbywania praktyk dyplomowych. Opiekun praktyki starał się wybrać odpowiedni zakres i zasięg opracowania tak, aby temat był z jednej strony ambitny, z drugiej strony, aby nie był zbyt obszerny i skomplikowany do wykonania. Z punktu widzenia trzech podmiotów uczestniczących we współpracy zrealizowane zostały następujące cele: studenci mieli możliwość zetknięcia się z bieżącymi pracami związanymi z tworzeniem numerycznej wersji państwowego zasobu geodezyjnego i kartograficznego, a tym samym nauczenia się metodologii postępowania oraz typowych procesów technologicznych stosowanych w ODGIK. Korzystając z różnorodnych źródeł danych zaznajomili się praktycznie ze sposobami ich pozyskania i przekształcania, Uczelnia, kierując studentów do ośrodków dokumentacji geodezyjnej i kartograficznej, miała możliwość zaoferowania im realizacji prac dyplomowych, których rezultaty wykorzystywane są w praktyce. Proces opracowania większości baz danych będących przedmiotem prac odbywał się w systemach narzędziowych powszechnie stosowanych w ODGIK, którymi uczelnia nie dysponowała, Ośrodki zaproponowały tematy wynikające z ich konkretnych potrzeb. Opracowania w postaci bazy danych wykonane w ramach prac dyplomowych, po przeprowadzonej kontroli, zostały włączone do państwowego zasobu geodezyjnego i kartograficznego, dostępnego dla wszystkich potencjalnych użytkowników.

The paper presents the results of cooperation between the Silesian University of Technology - Division of Surveying and Protection of Mining Areas and centers for geodetic and cartographic documentation: regional (WODGiK in Katowice) and district (PODGiK in Miko16w) in the field of conducting master theses of students in mining surveying. Twelve master theses, which themes resulted from the current needs of the centers of geodetic and cartographic documentation, were accomplished in years 2002 - 2011. From the perspective of three actors involved in the cooperation, the following objectives were carried out: Students had an opportunity to get acquianted with current jobs related to the creation of a digital version of state geodetic and cartographic resource, and thus they had the ability to learn the proceeding methodology and typical technological processes used in the centers. Thanks to a variety of data sources they were offered to use, the students were practically acquainted with the methods of their acquisition and conversion. directing students to the centers, the University had an opportunity to offer them realization of master theses, the results of which are used in practice. Elaboration of most databases, which were the result of their work, was peiformed in software systems commonly used in the centers, which unfortunately the university did not own. The centers suggested topics according to their specific needs. Database elaboration made in the master theses, were checked, and then incorporated into the state geodetic and cartographic resource that is available to all potential users.
