With a growing conventional wisdom and requirements concerning protection of human environment of living and increasing a comfort in working and resting space, an aspect of protection against excessive vibroacoustic effects as vibrations and noise becomes more significant. Taking into account an idea of balanced development, which is nowadays promoted in civil engineering, solutions in a field of protection measures against these influences should ensure long-term social and economical benefits. In this paper we bring up a subject of protection against vibrations and secondary structure-borne noise that may affect people in buildings and buildings itselves, which are located in close neighborhood of railway line in tunnel. Special attention is paid to durable and constant effectiveness of applied solution of a railway track vibroisolation using heavy mass-spring system. This isolation efficiency is confirmed by comparative experimental measurements.

We investigate the regularity in time of solutions of two dynamic frictionless contact problems. The first problem describes the vibration of a mass-spring system and the second one concerns the contact of an elastic rod. In both models the contact is described with normal compliance. We show that the regularity of the normal compliance function determines the regularity of the solution.
