The article is devoted to the research of the essence and the structure of the marketing information system of tourism enterprise. A current state of the marketing information system of tour operators and tour agents in Ukraine is analyzed. The schematic for improvement of marketing information system of Ukrainian tourist enterprises is created.

W artykule została zbadana struktura i istota marketingowo-informatycznego systemu przedsiębiorstwa turystycznego. Przeprowadzono analizę współczesnego stanu tych systemów w Ukrainie. Zaproponowany został schemat udoskonalenia marketingowo-informatycznych systemów ukraińskich touroperatorów i przedsiębiorstw turystycznych.

Worldwide changes such as technological advances, internationalization, computerization, deregulation, globalization, etc. in recent years have led to radical changes in the marketing environment. Consumers require higher quality products at a lower, or at least the same prices, higher consumer value and product individualization. Organizations, especially transport companies, in order to succeed in this dynamic environment, must have sufficient information. But it is not just about quantity. Currently, there is no problem to get a large amount of information from various sources. Internet and various databases provide a large amount of information, but not all meet the required quality level. To select timely and relevant information inevitable for a good marketing decision is an art.

In this paper information needs of enterprise are described and their determinants are given. In the next part of this work the definition of the marketing information system is formulated and its components are listed. The creation process of this system is explained too. Main functions of the marketing information system are given. Influence of above mentioned system on activity of firm is characterized too. Then marketing information system in Polish enterprises is described. In the last part of this paper the most important advantages, which enterprise gains thanks the effective marketing information system, are listed and some disadvantages connected with this system are pointed too.
