W niniejszej pracy przeprowadzono analizę zmiany pozycji finansowej wytwórców w Krajowym Systemie Elektroenergetycznym, która nastąpiłaby w efekcie perspektywicznego wdrożenia mechanizmu market coupling w ramach budowy jednolitego rynku energii elektrycznej w UE. Dla zbadania wrażliwości polskiego rynku energii zrealizowano sy-mulację funkcjonowania mechanizmu market coupling w ramach regionu CEE dla danych za okres od 1 stycznia 2014 roku do 31 października 2016 roku. W pierwszej części analizy dokonano ilościowego badania wrażliwości cenowej polskiego rynku energii na międzyobszarowy handel energią elektryczną w regionie CEE w zależności od wartości dostępnych transgranicznych zdolności przesyłowych na profilu synchronicznym Polski. W dalszej kolejności, przedstawiono zmiany rozkładu przepływów handlowych jakie zostały zaobserwowane dla poszczególnych granic międzyobszarowych oraz określono ilościowe zmiany wolumenu energii elektrycznej obracanej na TGE, która była dostarczana przez polskie podmioty. Następnie, w oparciu o pozyskane dane, wykorzystując podejście statystyczne, zrealizowano analizę wrażliwości wyników finansowych krajowych wytwórców energii elektrycznej, dysponujących Jednostkami Wytwórczymi Centralnie Dysponowanymi, na zmiany wolumenu sprzedawanej przez nich energii elektrycznej, wynikające z udziału we wspólnym rynku.

In this article, an analysis has been conducted of a change in the financial position of the generators in the National Electric Power System, as a consequence of the forthcoming implementation of the market coupling within the framework of the formation of the internal electricity market within the EU. To examine the sensitivity of the Polish Energy Market, the simulation of the functioning of the market coupling mechanism within the boundaries of the CEE region, with data for the period of 1 January 2014 to 31 October 2016, has been conducted. In the first part of the analysis, a quantitative study of price sensitivity of the Polish electricity market on cross-zonal elec-tricity trade in CEE region was made in relation to the different values of available cross-zonal capacities on the synchronous profile of Poland. Subsequently, changes in the distribution of trade flows that were observed for particular bidding zone borders were presented and changes in the volume of electricity sold by Polish generators on the Polish Power Exchange TGE were determined. Afterwards, based on the obtained data, using the statistical approach, an analysis of the sensitivity of financial results of domestic electricity generators managing Centrally Disposed Generating Units, to changes in the volume of electricity sold by those entity on the common market, was carried out.

Polish energy sector is moving away from the principles of sustainable development and this causes serious tensions within the European Union. Continuation of current trends may lead to ecological catastrophe. Europe and the world invest in zero-emission sources not only for ecological reasons. These sources, especially solar and wind energy subject to an inevitable decline in energy costs in the long term, and also mitigate risks related to fuel costs escalations and reduce costs of adjustments of coal fired plants to the environmental regulations. The authors of this article indicate that the efforts should be made towards rapid development of totally emission-free renewable energy sources and gradual displacement of combustion processes in the power industry. This transition cannot be implemented without seasonal heat storages and integration (market coupling) of heat and electricity markets.
