With change being the only thing that is constant, modern world is undergoing a disruptive change to many aspects of everyday life. Covering 70% of our planet, oceans and industries connected with them are of no exception. The apparent drive towards autonomization in shipping will not only change the way vessels are navigated, but will affect virtually all services needed for the vessels to be navigated. These include not only the design of ships themselves, training of their crews, remote supervision of onboard processes, but also the extremely important - yet not always appreciated - domain that allows for a safe navigation: maritime hydrography. This paper discusses some insights on how the autonomous vessels and future hydrographers may benefit from each other.

Logistyka wojskowa nie prowadzi działań bojowych w klasycznym rozumieniu tego terminu. Jednakże niedocenianie jej znaczenia przez dowódców na przestrzeni wieków stawało się niejednokrotnie główną przyczyną klęsk. Posiadanie odpowiednich zdolności do specjalistycznego wsparcia i zabezpieczenia logistycznego własnych oraz sojuszniczych sił morskich buduje wiarygodność Polski jako solidnego partnera. Rozwijanie zdolności logistycznych do wsparcia operacji morskich powinno mieć na celu również zachęcenie sojuszników do operowania w rejonie Morza Bałtyckiego w strefach interesów Polski. Na stan bezpieczeństwa operacji na morzu wpływ mają również aspekty zabezpieczenia i wsparcia logistycznego. Dotyczy to możliwości uzupełnienia paliw okrętowych i innych ładunków płynnych, środków bojowych, żywności jak również części zamiennych. Ważnym elementem bezpieczeństwa operacji jest również zdolność do wszechstronnego zabezpieczenia technicznego, w tym do realizacji odtwarzania sprawności technicznej okrętów na morzu oraz zdolność do demagnetyzacji okrętów. Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia kluczowe do uzyskania przez Marynarkę Wojenną RP zdolności do wsparcia i zabezpieczenia logistycznego oraz zwraca uwagę na rolę i znaczenie logistyki Marynarki Wojennej RP w zapewnieniu powodzenia i bezpieczeństwa operacji morskich.

Military logistics does not carry out combat operations in the classical sense of the term. However, the underestimation of its importance by commanders over the centuries has often been the main cause of disasters. Possessing appropriate capabilities for specialized support and logistical support of own and allied naval forces builds the credibility of Poland as a solid partner. Developing logistical capabilities to support maritime operations should also aim at encouraging allies to operate in the Baltic Sea area of Poland's interests. The safety of maritime operations is also affected by aspects of security and logistical support. This includes the possibility of replenishing marine fuels and other liquid cargo, combatants, food as well as spare parts. An important element of operational safety is also the ability to provide comprehensive technical protection, including the recovery of technical capability of ships at sea and the ability to demagnetize ships. This article presents the key to the Navy's ability to provide logistical support and security, and highlights the role and importance of Polish Navy logistics in ensuring the success and safety of maritime operations.

The following paper provides information about eye-tracking techniques and methodology. It is focused on introducing eye movement metrics in human factor research in maritime domain, explaining basic methodology and describing the types of data analysis, thus providing the background and guidelines for simple eyetracking studies.

W artykule, w formie scenariuszy, przedstawiono potrzeby sił morskich w zakresie przygotowania, organizowania i prowadzenia obrony przeciwminowej. W procesie badawczym za główne założenie formułowanych scenariuszy przyjęto warunki działań sił morskich bez wsparcia państwa gospodarza. Istotną część badań stanowi scenariusz trzeci, w którym zawarto propozycję zadań modułów wojny minowej realizowanych na korzyść sił głównych a dotyczących ich użycia w strefie objętej działaniami militarnymi innymi niż wojna.

In an article, in the form of scenarios, are presented needs the naval forces in preparing, organizing and conducting mine warfare. In the research process as the main assumption formulated scenarios assumed conditions of naval operations without host nation support. An important part of the study is a third scenario, which proposes tasks for the mine warfare modules which conduct their activities during military operations other than war.

The article features premises used to develop Polish versions of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and current experience gathered of their exploitation in navy operations. Then limitations are presented that naval battlefield enforce for UAVs and the division of their construction due to the particular stages of conducting a mission. Next their tasks are listed and requirements that present constructions have to face are defined. The summary of the article includes the comparison of present UAVs tactical and technical parameters.

The article presents assumptions that were the basis to develop maritime versions of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and the experiences of using UAVs in naval operations so far. In the further part of the article there have been presented the tasks to be performed by unmanned sea vessels, co-operating with surface vessels and submarines and also the future of the UAVs to operate over seas has been defined. Conclusions concerning the influence of UAVs in naval operations are described in the final part of the article.
