The article discusses the concept of developing parts of waterside along West Oder in Szczecin for water recreation. Existing water infrastructure, including numerous canals located on the river along Kolumba and Tama Pomorzańska Street, favours the development of motorboat sports and sailing. The area can fulfil the recreational and sport function, what can be seen on the example of existing facilities on Grodzka Island and along Małe Dąbie Lake. In the way of the plans however stands the area development plan which endorse current manufacturing and storage functions of the area.

W artykule została omówiona koncepcja wykorzystania części nabrzeża Odry Zachodniej w Szczecinie na cele szeroko rozumianej rekreacji wodnej. Istniejąca infrastruktura wodna, w tym liczne kanały rozlokowane na odcinku rzeki wzdłuż ulicy Kolumba i Tamy Pomorzańskiej sprzyjają rozwojowi sportów motorowodnych i żeglarstwa. Rejon ten może być równie atrakcyjnym miejscem uprawiania tego typu aktywności sportowych i rekreacyjnych, jak istniejące ośrodki wodne na terenie wyspy Grodzkiej oraz wzdłuż jeziora Małe Dąbie. Na przeszkodzie realizacji tej idei stoją jednak zapisy obowiązujących miejscowych planów zagospodarowania przestrzennego, które w większości sankcjonują obecny przemysłowo-składowy charakter tego terenu.

The paper contains a discussion of the problem regarding the proper placement of sailing ports within urban structures. Construction projects associated with sailing, both amateur and professional alike, are some of the most attractive in terms of function. Surely, structures and infrastructural elements like these are quite popular among both visitors and residents of a city in which they are located. Thus, the quality of both urban and architectural design solutions used in newly built marinas demand special attention. The paper discusses the spatial relations that occur between the urban built environment and the spatial structures of marinas on the example of the marina in Frejus in France and the Yacht Port in Szczecin.

W artykule został omówiony problem właściwego lokowania przystani żeglarskich w strukturach miejskich. Inwestycje związane z żeglarstwem, zarówno amatorskim, jak i profesjonalnym, należą do bardzo atrakcyjnych pod względem funkcjonalnym. Z pewnością tego typu obiekty budowlane i infrastrukturalne cieszą się dużym zainteresowaniem zarówno mieszkańców, jak i osób odwiedzających miasta, w których są one zlokalizowane. W związku z tym należy zwrócić szczególną uwagę na jakość rozwiązań urbanistycznych i architektonicznych nowo realizowanych marin. W artykule relacje przestrzenne zachodzące pomiędzy zabudową miejską a strukturą przestrzenną przystani żeglarskich pokazano na przykładzie mariny Frejus we Francji i Portu Jachtowego w Szczecinie.

Celem badań była analiza stopnia wykorzystania omawianego akwenu w realizacji zadań turystyki wodnej i ocena ograniczeń tego procesu. W referacie przedstawiono identyfikację form turystyki wodnej oraz ocenę portów, przystani i pomostów zachodniego wybrzeża, które mogą stanowić bazę dla działalności żeglarskiej. Wykonane analizy pokazują, że zrealizowane ostatnio inwestycje polepszyły warunki działalności turystycznej w analizowanym rejonie, jednak słabym punktem jest kwestia bezpieczeństwa tychże marin. W opracowaniu autorzy zastanawiają się też nad zagrożeniami, które mogą dotyczyć marin i portów morskich.

The purpose of the research was the analysis of the degree of use of the body in the performance of the tasks of water tourism and assessment of the limitations of this process. The paper shows the identification of the forms of water tourism and ports, bridges and the West Coast, that could be the base for sailing activities. The analysis performed shows that realized last investments improved the conditions of tourist activities in the area. In the second part of the study, authors reflects on the threats, which may relate to marinas and seaports.

Można zaobserwować wyraźny rozwój turystyki wodnej i morskiej, który powoduje wzrost liczby nowobudowanych portów jachtowych i marin. Niezależnie jednak od rodzaju portu jachtowego, konieczne jest wykonanie odpowiednich działań zapewniających bezpieczeństwo jednostek pływających (jachtów). Podstawowym warunkiem jest dobijanie i postój bez uszkodzenia kadłuba jednostki i nabrzeża. Odbojnice są urządzeniami chroniącymi przed siłą uderzenia jednostki w nabrzeże i podczas postoju. Konstrukcja odbojnic bazuje na wykorzystaniu własności sprężystych i ich kształtu. Aktualnie do budowy odbojnic stosowne są elastomery poliuretanowe. W referacie zostaną przedstawione zagadnienia związane z bezpieczeństwem cumowaniem jednostek pływających w portach jachtowych oraz zastosowanie odbojnic.

The appreciable increasing of water and marine tourism can be observed. It caused the development of new building yachts ports and marines. Independent of kind of ports, it is necessary to provide the proper activity to ensure the water craft (yachts) safety. The basic condition is berthing and mooring without of damage of hull yacht and quay. The fenders are devices to protect against of yachts impact on quay and during mooring. The fender construction is based on resiliency property and their shape. Actually, the polyurethane elastomers are used to make the fenders. The papers present the problems of safety maneuvering of water craft in yachts ports and application of fenders.
