Impact of green total factor productivity in marine economy based on entropy method

In order to improve the efficiency of marine economic production and realize the sustainable and healthy development of marine economy, the spatial-temporal and dynamic evolution trend of marine economic green production efficiency in coastal areas of China is analysed by means of SFA basic model, coefficient of variation, coefficient of Gini and entropy method. It mainly includes three aspects: the result analysis of marine economy green production efficiency; the dynamic trend analysis of marine economy green production efficiency; the analysis of factors affecting marine economy green production efficiency. The results show that the factors affecting the total factor productivity of the marine economy are: development level of marine economy, marine material capital, level of opening to the outside world, marine industrial structure, marine human capital and marine environmental governance.

Piractwo oraz terroryzm stanowi znaczny problem gospodarki morskiej, utrudniając swobodną, bezpieczną żeglugę międzynarodową. Początki tej „profesjii” mają miejsce już ok VIII w p.n.e. co może mieć początek z powstaniem tzw. Wielkiej Grecji od Sycylii i Italii po Kaukaz. Piractwo w obecnych czasach nadal funkcjonuje na bardzo szeroką skalę, głównie poprzez zmiany w sytuacji międzynarodowej całego świata. Są rejony, gdzie piractwo oraz gwałty tego typu są mocno zaostrzone tak jak okolice Somalii, cieśnina Malakka łącząca Ocean Spokojny i Indyjski czy Bab-al Mandab oddzielająca Afrykę od Półwyspu Arabskiego.

Piracy and terrorism represent a significant problem of marine economy, hindering the free, secure international navigation. The origins of this “profession” can be traced to the eighth century BC. It might have begun with the rise of the so-called Great Greece from Sicily and Italy to the Caucasus. Nowadays, piracy still operates on a very large scale, mainly because of the changes in the international situation around the world. There are areas where piracy and outrage of this type are strongly exacerbated, as around Somalia, the Strait of Malacca linking the Indian and Pacific Ocean, the Bab al-Mandab separating Africa from the Arabian Peninsula.

The following article, presented on the TRANSNAV 2015 conference in Gdynia discusses the topic of maritime consciousness and its impact. Through maritime consciousness we perceive the raising and sustaining of social awareness and interest in marine economy. This is a critical factor in the efficient functioning of any maritime nation. The maritime tradition of a given state is a non-interchangeable component in the comprehending of the significant benefits flowing from naval commerce, by the society and, more importantly, its governing body. In this article we looked into the various elements influencing the growth of the merchant navies in countries such as China, Norway and Poland.

Niniejszy artykuł zaprezentowany na konferencji TRANSNAV 2015 w Gdyni porusza temat świadomości morskiej oraz jej znaczenia dla handlu. Poprzez świadomość morską należy rozumieć szereg składowych wpływających na sposób, w jaki morze oraz związane z nim sektory gospodarki są odbierane przez społeczeństwo. Stanowi ona niezmiernie ważny element w prawidłowym funkcjonowaniu każdego państwa z dostępem do morza. W tej pracy przeanalizowano wpływ wszelakich czynników na rozwój flot handlowych i gospodarki morskiej w takich krajach jak Chiny, Norwegia i Polska.
