The paper presents one of the modern control methods used for steering of the ship motion. The different automatic systems used to navigate the vessels are described at the beginning. Next, prediction control methodology is presented and multidimensional MPC regulator applied to steering of the training ship is shown as a technical product. Tests results from the real-time experiments with the mentioned controller are presented at the end of the article.

Liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC) are a promising form to store hydrogen. However, the process of dehydrogenation has to be demonstrated for applications with proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells which require very pure hydrogen. Here we document the measured degradation effects due to CO contamination on a PEM fuel cell that is supplied with hydrogen from a LOHC. In addition the possible causes for the occurrence of CO are discussed.

Ciekłe organiczne nośniki wodoru (LOHC) są przyszłościowymi sposobami przechowywania wodoru. W pracy proces odwodornienia przedstawiono tylko dla zastosowań z ogniwami paliwowymi typu membranowa wymiana protonów (PEM), które wymagają bardzo czystego wodoru. W pracy zamieszczono wyniki pomiarów wpływu degradacji ogniwa paliwowego typu PEM, które jest zasilane wodorem z LOHC, w zależności od zawartości CO. Dodatkowo w artykule omówiono możliwość wystąpienia CO.

The infra-red radiation was discovered in 1800 by English astronomer Sir Wiliam Hirchel but practical appl ications could be dated to the beginning of XX century. First advanced scientific investigations, as well as works relating to the military applications of IR technique were carried out during the First World War. Many applications of IR radiation exist until now. It is generally accepted that taking into account the destination the devices of IR techniques can be divided on three main groups: measuring devices, observation and aut omatic recognition systems. Devices of this type can be found both in Navy and civil marine.
