Paper presents selected management information systems in the railway industry companies arising from the transformation of the Polish State Railways into PKP Group. Hardware and software solutions used by this systems and benefits of implement them are also pointed out. Takes into account the areas of financial management as well as the areas of operational management, specific for their activities. These issues are presented in the context of technology and economy. It has been proved that the organizational solutions imply the impossibility of efficient use of resources allocated to information systems due to consummate the benefits of consolidation, virtualization and cloud computing is impossible.

Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje koncepcję wirtualnego doradcy menedżera opartą na technologii Lingubot (™) niemieckiej firmy Kiwilogic.com.AG. W artykule zaprezentowano możliwości zastosowania technologii Lingubot ™ w e-biznesie i podjęto próbę określenia warunków koniecznych do zastosowania tej technologii w postaci wirtualnego doradcy menedżera. Ponadto w artykule znajdują się opinie na temat tejże technologii uzyskane w wyniku przeprowadzonej ankiety obejmującej docelową grupę jej potencjalnych użytkowników w przyszłości.

This article presents a conception of a virtual advisor of a manager. The conception is based on the Lingubot (™) technology created by the German firm Kiwilogic.com AG. The article describes possibilities of adjustment of Lingubot (™ ) technology in e-business. It also tries to quality necessary conditions for application this technology in the form of a virtual advisor of a manager. Moreover, the article contains opinions on this technology based on the results of a research conducted among the group of its future potential users.

W artykule zwrócono uwagę na możliwości znacznego ograniczenia kosztów eksploatacyjnych budynków poprzez wykorzystanie nowoczesnych narzędzi zarządzania budynkami. Na podstawie doświadczeń z własnych realizacji omówiono najistotniejsze problemy dotyczące doboru struktury i elementów komputerowych systemów zarządzania energią w budynkach użyteczności publicznej i przemyśle.

In the article a possibility of considerable limitation of building's operating costs by the usage of new managing techniques in building industry is pointed out. The most significant matters concerning computer systems of energy managing in public buildings and industrial buildings were discussed based on the author's experience from realised projects.
