In the paper the results of investigations determining the time and length macro- and microscales of turbulence of the liquid in a mixing vessel with the pitched blades turbine are presented. These quantities were determined on the basis of the velocity autocorrelation function obtained from the measurements of liquid velocities using the LDA method.

This paper comprises an experimental data determining turbulence time and space macro- and microscales of liquid, in agitated vessel equipped with PBT impeller. The values have been determined on the ground of velocity autocorrelation function obtained from liquid velocity measurements in agitated model vessel, with help of LDA (Laser Doppler Anemometer) measurement system.

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań doświadczalnych, których celem było określenie czasowych i przestrzennych makroskal i mikroskal turbulencji cieczy w mieszalniku z mieszadłem turbinowym o łopatkach pochylonych. Wielkości te wyznaczono, opierając się na funkcji autokorelacji prędkości pobocznych, uzyskanej na podstawie wyników pomiarów prędkości przepływu cieczy w mieszalniku. Pomiarów chwilowych prędkości przepływu mieszanej cieczy dokonano za pomocą dwukanałowego anemometru laserowego.
