W artykule przedstawiono dzieje papiernictwa na obszarze Raciborza. Celem opracowania jest zaprezentowanie historii poszczególnych młynów papierniczych i fabryk papieru oraz ustalenie ich potencjału wytwórczego i profilu produkcji.

Z powodu zagwarantowania dusznickiej papierni wyłącznego prawa do zbierania szmat, w Hrabstwie Kłodzkim do końca XVII w. działał tylko młyn w Dusznikach. Na początku XVIII w. na krótko prawa do pozyskiwania szmat w południowej części Hrabstwa przyznano papierni ze Stronia. Z początkiem XIX w. zniesiono w Prusach wszystkie feudalne przywileje, w tym wyłączne prawa do zbierania szmat. Dzięki temu mogły powstać nowe młyny papiernicze. Na ziemi kłodzkiej czerpalnie założono w Podborzu, Goworowie, Jaworku, Piaskowicach i Bystrzycy Kłodzkiej. Najlepiej rozwijały się papiernie w Piaskowicach i Podborzu, w których z czasem zastosowano maszynową technikę produkcji.

Due to the exclusive right to collect rags in Duszniki, only the mill in Duszniki operated in the Kłodzko County until the end of the 17th century. At the beginning of the 18th century, the rights to collect rags in the southern part of the County were briefly granted to the Stronie paper mill. At the beginning of the 19th century, all feudal privileges were abolished in Prussia, including the exclusive rights to collect rags. Thanks to this, new paper mills could be developed. In the Kłodzko region, the mills were established in Podborze, Goworów, Jaworek, Piaskowice and Bystrzyca Kłodzka. Paper mills in Piaskowice and Podborze were doing better than the others as over the time machine production techniques were introduced there.

Artykuł dotyczy historii papierni w Janowicach Wielkich na Dolnym Śląsku. W Janowicach papier czerpano ręcznie przed 1614 r. W 1854 lub 1860 r. młyn przebudowano na maszynową fabrykę papieru. Na przełomie XIX i XX w. zainstalowano trzy nowe maszyny papiernicze, dzięki czemu zakład stał się jedną z największych papierni w regionie. Po II wojnie światowej fabrykę znacjonalizowano. Przez lata eksploatowano ją bez większych inwestycji. W 1991 r. zakład zamknięto, a w kolejnych latach uległ fizycznej likwidacji.

The article describes history of the paper mill in Janowice Wielkie in Lower Silesia. In Janowice paper was made by hand before 1614. In 1854 or 1860, the mill was converted into a machine-based paper factory. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, three new paper machines were installed, making the plant one of the largest paper mills in the region. After World War II, the factory was nationalized. Over the years it has been exploited without major investments. In 1991, the plant was closed, and in the following years it was physically liquidated.

Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) was used to make comparative analysis of projects or heterogeneous measures for prioritization criteria and subcriteria simultaneously in a complex situation. The aim of this paper is to determine the alternatives and the sensitivity of main factors affecting water and energy consumption as well as environmental impact in a recycled paper manufacturing by using analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The AHP enables one to consider all the elements of decision process in a model, and to compare criteria and subcriteria of the model to find the best alternative. The AHP technique is applied through specific software package with user-friendly interfaces called Expert Choice. The results indicated that reduction of water consumption is the most important alternative for sustainable development in a recycled paper mill in Iran. Also, good housekeeping is the most sensitive criterion affecting the alternatives. The paper illustrates how the AHP method can help industrial management to overcome the energy usage and environmental impact in the manufacture.
