W artykule zaproponowano nową koncepcję bilansu mocy całkowitej młyna tarczowego. Zidentyfikowano składowe, które są zużywane na podstawowe podprocesy mielenia mas makulaturowych, rafinowanie masy, cięcie włókien, mielenie właściwe oraz tarcie mieszane masy. Za podstawową zmienną sterowaną do analizy przyjęto szczelinę międzynożową.

In this paper a new conception of total power balance of disc refiner was proposed. The components which are used up in the basic subprocesses of waste paper stock beating: refining, fibre cutting, proper beating and mixed stock friction were identified. The gap between disc's knifes was accepted in the analysis as the main controlled variable. Investigations were carried out in industrial conditions of waste-paper stock beating of sorted strong waste-paper of kind four. Investigations were realized on the specially designed and constructed test stand. The range of work included investigation of chosen parameters of beating process in disc refiner ST 300S in Bydgoszcz Paper Mill. The volume of total power consumption for changing gape between discs and for some of remaining and defined technological parameters of refiner work was examined and described. Changes of beating pressure occurring on the front surface of the knives with the changes of the gape between discs were defined. This enabled to define real volume of individual component powers. In the laboratory, the proprieties of paper samples obtained from stock after beating were examined. Results of this investigations were compared with the industrial investigations of the refiner power consumption. The refiner work conditions, in which the process being carried out can applied for obtaining the best results of beating, were defined. Presented conception of mathematical models elaboration enabled the comprehensive solution of the problem of mutual relations of power consumption components in relation to working conditions of investigated refiner grinding unit. Accepted assumptions and methods of logical proceeding resulted in elaboration of original work algorithm and finally led to the elaboration of the unique graph: (Nc, Nm, Nt, Nr) = f(x).
