The article discusses the impact of vertical partition, technology on thermal insulation of the building, and the resulting savings and thermal comfort of residents. The study is carried out as an analysis of three selected design solutions including such materials as: aerated concrete elements, polystyrene, ceramic elements, concrete, mineral plaster. Simulation results of heat transfer in a multi-layered wall, are subjected to a detailed analysis by means of thermal visual methods. The study of existing structures, helped to identify the local point of heat loss by means of infrared technology leading to determination of U-value reduction by 36% in maximum for the described 3 types of structure.

The harmful environmental effects of today's energy supply through the use of fossil forms of energy are the main cause of the greenhouse effect and climatic change. Low energy houses and passive houses are developments which lead to a remarkable reduction in primary energy usage. The RAPP Autark-House is a further development of this technology and is unique in its characteristics and complexity. The annual heating warmth requirement is reduced to approx. 8kWh/m2 - an all time low. In addition to energy reduction, the requirement for a healthy, environmentally-conscious form of construction and living also play a role, along with individual, creative design freedom. The pre-fabricated elements enable alterations to be made without having to change the fabric of the completed buildings. The positive characteristics of the living ambience are particularly important. Mould cannot develop. An important aspect, particularly for countries with a subtropical climate. The inspection authorities have also certified the system with high earthquake resistance, opening up new possibilities in endangered areas. Countries such as China, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico, Columbia and Majorca have already expressed interest. Production and erection of the first houses will be commence this year in Germany.
