Given actions related to the air transport, we can surely conclude that the contemporary air services market is characterized by dynamic growth and development. A quick modification of factors responsible for smooth functioning requires implementation of actions aiming at increasing the quality of offered services by adapting them to the expectations of the air passengers to be taken on a more systematic basis. The above actions will bring effects only if we demonstrate our expert knowledge of the market and its needs. The market of air services in the 21st century faces strong competition. Therefore, in order to gain information about the factors, processes, and field phenomena, research must be conducted, as it constitutes the basic tool for the shaping of the air services industry. Marketing research conducted in the field of air transport based on a well-structured research scheme allows taking the right logistic decisions, which is the subject of this article.

The article presents the possibilities of applying the theory of cooperative games in logistic decision making. It was indicated that co-operation allows for the generation of synergies and synergies and can be successfully used in decision-making throughout the supply chain.

The paper deals with the process of taking logistic decisions in supply chain for the army. The armaments company which secures supplies for the army is considering three forecasting variants of extra supplies. Producing the supplies requires an increased industrial efficiency which is obtained through investments in fixed assets ( production plants, warehouses). Howev-er, these variants cannot be implemented in the normal course of action ( i.e. in deterministic situations) as they deal with fu-ture orders. They may only be implemented in future under uncertainty conditions to determine extra production profitability. An analysis of economic effectiveness is conducted by the company so that the optimum variant is selected. The analysis in-cludes some elements of game theory which proves most useful in uncertainty situations.

The article presents the possibilities of using portfolio transactions that a company makes in the capital market for the purpose of logistic decision making. The discussion focuses on financial investments intended, for instance, to fund logistic projects. An inherent element of any investment portfolio is risk. In the article, portfolio risk is measured with value at risk, VaR.

Artykuł stanowi próbę przybliżenia problemu podejmowania decyzji logistycznych w sektorze małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw. W toku przeprowadzonych badań, poddano weryfikacji hipotezę mówiącą o tym, iż wielkość przedsiębiorstwa ma istotny wpływ na sposób zarządzania procesami logistycznymi zachodzącymi w przedsiębiorstwie. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują, iż specyficzne cechy małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw, które determinują odmienne przesłanki podejmowania decyzji, jak również sam właściwy proces podejmowania decyzji logistycznych różnią się w zależności od wielkości przedsiębiorstwa, co zdaniem autora wskazuje na potrzebę wypracowania odmiennych metod i sposobów zarządzania logistyką w sektorze MSP.
