The article is dedicated to the selected problems of material streams in the metallurgical sector. The complex technological structure and marketing requirements make the production planning process in metallurgical enterprises really complicated. The key issue that defines the production process is the complexity of material flow. The variety of assortment such as rage of products, sorts of steel as well as dimensions, create many technological possibilities of fulfilling the order.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane problemy planowania strumieni materiałowych w sektorze hutniczym. Złożona struktura technologiczna produkcji oraz wymagania marketingowe powodują, że problem palnowania produkcji w przedsiebiorstwach hutniczych jest bardzo skomplikowany. Istotnym czynnikiem wyróżniającym process produkcji jest złożoność przepływu materiałów. Różnorodność asortymentu, zarówno pod względem rodzajów wyrobów, gatunków stali, jak i wymiarów, powoduje, że istnieje wiele możliwych wariantów technologicznych realizacji zamówień.
