The existing space distribution of hotel and service facilities in different places in the world is mainly the result of natural organic growth. Such facilities were built in areas of actual and/or potential demand, provided adequate financial resources and land were available. Additionally, an important factor was also the availability of technical infrastructure, including, in particular, transport. Sometimes those facilities were built without any detailed spatial analysis of their locations. It can be concluded that planning of hotel and service facilities lacked clear and accurate methods as well as analytic tools. The main reason was the lack of relevant databases. Along the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), information tools started to be used in nearly every area. It should be noted that the development of the hotel and service base can be significantly promoted while using modern ICT solutions. In their article, the authors, among others, propose to use trip planning tools backed by Big Data. A trip planner can be used to collect data that help to determine the location of hotel and service facilities (e.g. hotels, guest houses, motels, leisure, recreation and restaurant facilities). The article presents the case study from the Upper Silesia conurbation, Poland. The use of Big Data allows to select locations of investment corresponding to actual tourist travel needs, especially that every year tourism becomes an increasingly important sector of the national economy in many countries.

The work is aimed at analysing the state and prospects of implementing the export potential of the agrarian sector of Ukraine, the structure of which is based on the principles of transition from the abstract to the concrete. The study begins with the definition of factors that shape the export opportunities of the agrarian sector, namely: the quality of the factors of agricultural production (objects of labour, means of labour); the branch structure of agricultural production; the state of the systems of certification and quality control of export products; the diversification of markets; the access to financial resources; the level of the marketing support of export; the mechanisms of the realization of the state export policy; the state of development of agro-logistics. It has been proved that in the short term, the production components are not decisive in the processes of using and expanding the existing export potential of the national agrarian sector. In the modern conditions the state of logistics infrastructure is coming to the forefront. In the general problem of agro-logistics, the following levels are distinguished: micro-, meso-, macro-, and supranational. In each of them we have identified "the bottlenecks" of the process of building up export potential from the point of view of agro-logistics. The ways of increasing the export potential of the agrarian sector in Ukraine have been proposed. These include: the development of container transportation sphere; the creation of effective mechanisms for directing funds of united territorial communities for the development of regional logistics infrastructure; the reform of Ukrzaliznytsia (JSC „Ukrainian Railways”); the development of alternative variants of supply chains by improving the infrastructure of the automobile and river transport; the expansion of the representation of Ukraine in the world governmental and non-governmental organizations in order to protect the national trade interests; the formation of the system of training personnel capable of adapting to changing market conditions.

The article points to the need of improving warehouse operations, which are ineffective in many enterprises across Russia. The list of all the necessary measures is compiled on the basis of logistical approach, the development and implementation of which will help to solve system problems and to eliminate "bottlenecks" for one of the directions of an algorithm for sequences of action, allowing rational planning work management.

Artykuł wskazuje potrzebę doskonalenia operacji magazynowych, które są wykonywane nieefektywnie w wielu przedsiębiorstwach w Rosji. Zetawienie niezbędnych działań zostało zebrane na podstawie podejścia logistycznego, którego wdrożenie przyczyni się do rozwiązania problemów systemowych oraz wyeliminowania wąskich gardeł. Dla jednego z kierunków wypracowano algorytm sekwencji działań, umożliwiający racjonalne zarządzanie pracami planistycznymi.

In the last 45 years nurse scheduling has received considerable attention in the research community. Nurse rostering can be described as a task of finding a duty roster for a set of nurses in such a way that the rosters comply with work regulations and meet the management’s requests. The objective varies from minimizing the costs of float nurses or minimizing under-staffing to maximizing the degree to which the nurses’ requests are met. In logistics, one aspect is optimization of the steady flow of materials through a network of transport links and storage nodes, and the other is, coordination of a sequence of resources, such as staffing and scheduling clinical resources. The period up to 2000 is characterized by using mathematical programming and objective functions to solve nurse rostering problem. In the period after 2000 the focus of researches aimed at solving nurse rostering and scheduling problem becomes implementation of meta-heuristics and multi-objective functions. The aim of this paper is to present the latest researches conducted in last ten years.

The purpose of the article is in elaboration of scientific and methodological recommendations on management of interactions in logistic systems, which consider specificities of supply chains influence on the environment. In the article it is grounded, that formalized description of interaction process for logistic systems with the environment requires performance of complex interdisciplinary research from ecological, social, economical, organizational and technological, technical, natural scientific positions.

Realization of supply chains management paradigm, covering significantly more volumes of logistic space, logically leads to complication of logistic systems, which, in its turn, arises significant number of problems of both theoretical and practical character. In our opinion, not all the aspects of logistic systems design and their sustainable functioning have received by the present time corresponding coverage in scientific literature. More detailed consideration requires specific problems of logistic systems interaction with their environment. We can talk about formation of new scientific direction (which we suggest to name logistic environics), being applied addition to classical approach to design of logistic systems. Methods: the formalized description of interaction process for logistic systems with the environment was presented and discussed from ecological, social, economical, organizational and technological, technical, natural scientific positions. Results and conclusions: There is an interaction between logistics systems and the environment, but formalized description of logistic systems interaction process with the environment requires performance of complex interdisciplinary research from many different positions.

Realizacja paradygmatu zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw, która to obejmuje znaczny obszar logistyki, prowadzi do większej złożoności systemów logistycznych. To z kolei stwarza wiele istotnych problemów natury zarówno teoretycznej jak i praktycznej. Nie wszystkie zagadnienia związane z projektowaniem i funkcjonowaniem systemów logistycznych znajdują odpowiednie odzwierciedlenie w literaturze naukowej. Szczególnej uwagi wymagają powiązania i zależności systemów logistycznych z otaczającym je środowiskiem. Można tu mówić o nowym kierunku nauki (logistic environics) jako dodatku do klasycznego podejścia do projektowania systemów logistycznych. Metody: Przedstawiono sformalizowany opis współzależności między systemami logistycznymi a środowiskiem, który następnie został przedyskutowany przy uwzględnieniu aspektów ekologicznych, socjalnych, ekonomicznych, organizacyjnych i technicznych. Wyniki i wnioski: Istnieje zależność między systemami logistycznymi a środowiskiem, lecz sformalizowany opis tych zależności wymaga kompleksowych międzydyscyplinarnych badań, uwzględniających różne podejścia do tych zagadnień.
