Critical analysis of the literature and the results of empirical studies enable generating an assumption that system modelling may prove a method which makes it possible, in certain conditions of its functioning, to gain the expected optimal result, after the decomposition of the system, the analysis and estimation of the conditions of its elements and the synthesis of multiple alternatives of possible solutions. Useful should be here the achievements of the engineering of knowledge on the process (systems) diagnosis. Hence in the research concepts, within the accepted methodology, one usually has to do with an attempt to solve problem situations with the help of a selected set of indices (generally determined empirically for a particular process). The assumed Scientific goal may be, besides establishing the theoretical basis of the projection of modelling the logistic systems of small and medium-size enterprises, estimating their predictable cumulative economic effect and applying it to elaborating the application of methodology for entrepreneurs. Expected cognitive values of this action may be: determination of the course of logistic processes in an identified group of small and medium-size enterprises, working out of models of logistic processes (determination of sets of dependent and independent variables of logistic processes, creations of models diagnosing logistic processes [identification of the internal and external coherence], formulating the basis of creating the plane of identifying logistic processes in small and medium-size enterprises, working out of the foundation of building models of logistic processes in small and medium-size enterprises [in static and dynamic aspect]). The expected practical results may be: creation of the basis of the application of present and new tendencies in the development of logistic systems in small and medium-size enterprises; initiating work, also in other academic centres, aimed at designing, working out of modelling methodology, including the diagnosis of logistic systems, determining the set of techniques and tools which may be applied by entrepreneurs to creating the competitive advantage.

In presented paper an optoelectronic system, realizing the AND-OR- INVERT logical function which can be applied in transmission and processing of signals in optical form, is described. The optoelectronic AND-OR-INVERT logical gate was composed of thin film photoconducting and electroluminescent elements, made of cadmium sulphide and zinc sulphide, respectively, doped with copper, chlorine and manganese.

W artykule opisany został optoelektroniczny układ realizujący funkcję logiczną AND-OR-INVERT, który może być stosowany przy transmisji sygnałów w postaci optycznej. Optoelektroniczna bramka logiczna AND-OR-INVERT była złożona z cienkowarstwowych elementów fotoprzewodzących i elektroluminescencyjnych wytworzonych odpowiednio z siarczku kadmu i siarczku cynku domieszkowanych miedzią, chlorem i manganem.
