Artykuł analizuje obciążenia ruchome starych mostów kolejowych, porównując układy sił w różnych schematach obciążeń. Autor używa mnożnika obciążenia do porównywania skuteczności różnych grup obciążeń. Praca skupia się także na wpływie zmian w ciężarach lokomotyw i schematach obciążeń na nośność projektową mostów kolejowych.

It is not possible to directly compare the complex force patterns of railway and road bridges with each other. Each of the systems of moving forces of bridges is characterised by a different structure and different geometrical parameters. Only reducing such a system to one type, e.g. equivalent load, allows to compare the effectiveness of selected load groups. In the paper, a load multiplier was used for this purpose. The results of comparative analyses of operational, reference and design loads indicate their greatest effectiveness in the case of short elements (crossbeams and stringers) and small span bridges. In these types of elements, wrong mapping of reference and design loads was shown in relation to locomotives operated on PKP lines.
