Artykuł nawiązuje do aktualnych problemów oceny efektywności inwestycji projektów nowych oraz modernizacji istniejących oczyszczalni ścieków z uwzględnieniem aspektów optymalizacji kosztów oczyszczania ścieków. Wskazuje metodę oceny cyklu życia jako odpowiednie narzędzie wspomagające wybór najlepszego wariantu modernizacji oczyszczalni. Przedstawia charakterystykę metody kosztów cyklu życia (LCC) oraz przykłady zastosowania jej do oceny technologii oczyszczania ścieków.

The article is referring to the current problems of the evaluation of the effectiveness of an investment of new plans and of the modernization of existing sewage treatment plants including aspects of the optimization of costs of the sewage treatment. He shows the modernization of the sewage treatment plant the Evaluation of the life cycle as the adequate tool assisting choice of the best variant or the level. He is presenting characteristics of LCС methodology and examples of using to the technology assessment the sewage treatment.
