Przedmiotem artykułu są nowe struktury organizacji informacji stosowane w zarządzaniu informacją w bibliotekarstwie i działalności informacyjnej. Punktem wyjścia jest wyjaśnienie pojęcia „struktura” oraz pojęć pokrewnych tworzących wspólnie gniazdo semantyczne. Autor wychodzi od tradycyjnych struktur stosowanych w zarządzaniu informacją i dociera do folksonomii, chmury tagów oraz mapy tematów i ontologii. Zostaną przedstawione ich elementy oraz cechy dystynktywne a także funkcje w określaniu jakości i wartości informacji. W omówieniu struktur przyjęto terminologie ich opisu za pomocą takich terminów, jak system i sieć. Omówione struktury zostały przyporządkowane do odpowiednich procesów, jak generowanie, wyszukiwanie i selekcja informacji i wiedzy. Celem artykułu jest wykazanie podobieństw i różnic między prezentowanymi strukturami, co ma pokazać ich ewolucję oraz znaczenie w organizacji informacji i wiedzy na potrzeby zarządzania informacją.

The object of this paper are new structures of information organization applied to information management in library and information activity. The starting point is the clarification of the “structure” concept, as well as other related terms that create a joint semantic nest. The author starts with traditional structures used in information management and end with folksonomy, tag cloud, topic maps and ontology. Their elements and distinctive features are introduced, together with the functions used for the determination of information quality and value. For the needs of the structure discussion, a description terminology has been accepted, with the use of such terms as system or network. The structures under discussion are assigned to such respective processes as information and knowledge generation, search, and selection. The purposes of this presentation is to indicate the similarities and differences existing between the selected structures, which will demonstrate their evolutions and significance in information and knowledge organization for the needs of information management.

Przedmiotem artykułu są rozwiązania technologiczne przedstawione przez Paula Otleta w jego artykułach, dwóch najważniejszych książkach Traite de documentation (1934) i Monde (1935) oraz szkicach, które tworzyć miały ilustrowaną Encyclopedie Universel Mundaneum. Analizując takie jego pomysły jak wieloaspektowa klasyfikacja, zasada monograficzna, tworzona zbiorowo i stale aktualizowana encyklopedia dokumentująca calość aktualnej wiedzy, wykorzystanie nowoczesnych technik mikrografii, telefonii, telewizji i radiotelegrafii do ułatwiania indywidualnego dostępu do wiedzy zapisanej we wszelkiego typu dokumentach oraz tworzenia Mundaneum - ogólnoświatowej sieci informacyjnej i dokumentacyjnej dostrzec można analogie do współczesnych metod zapewniania dostępu do informacji takich jak indeksowanie fasetowe i indeksowanie automatyczne, hipertekst czy współczesny Internet. Choć w piśmiennictwie światowym te sformułowane ponad 75 lat temu pomysły przyciągają obecnie uwagę wielu badaczy, w Polsce dotychczas nie były szerzej omawiane.

The subject-matter of the article are technological solutions presented by Paul Otlet in his articles, two most important books, Traite de documentation (1934) and Monde (1935), as well as in his sketches which were to form Encyclopedie Universel Mundaneum. Analyzing such his ideas as multiaspectual classification, monographic principle, collectively created and constantly updated encyclopedia documenting the whole of the current knowledge, applying modern techniques of micrography, telephony, television and radiotelegraphy for facilitating individual access to knowledge recorded in all types of documents and creation ofMundaneum - a global information and documentation network, one can notice analogies to the contemporary methods of providing access to information such as faceted indexing an automatic indexing, hypertext or the contemporary Internet. Although in the world's literature these concepts, formulated over 75 years ago, attract the attention of numerous researchers, they have not been broadly discussed in Poland so far.

W pracy omówione zostały wyniki badania katalogów komputerowych (OPAC) polskich bibliotek pod kątem rejestracji danych o obiektach cyfrowych udostępnianych w bibliotekach cyfrowych. Badanie przeprowadzono od 1 sierpnia do 15 wrzeoenia 2009 roku. Przebadano 47 katalogów, w tym: 13 bibliotek publicznych (łącznie z Biblioteką Narodow ą), 10 uniwersyteckich, 7 politechnicznych, 8 bibliotek innych wyższych uczelni (ekonomicznych, AWF, rolniczych, teologicznych, artystycznych), 6 bibliotek wyższych szkół niepublicznych i 3 biblioteki pedagogiczne. Zaprezentowano cele, metody badawcze oraz wyniki przeprowadzonej analizy.

The study discusses the results of research on the computerized catalogues (OPAC) in Polish libraries from the angle of data registration in data objects available in digital libraries. The survey was conducted in the period 1 August – 15 September 2009. 47 catalogues were examined, including: 13 public libraries (together with the National Library), 10 university libraries, 7 technological university libraries, 8 libraries of other colleges (of economics, physical education, agriculture, theology, artistic), 6 libraries or private colleges and 3 pedagogical libraries. The report presents the goals, examination methods and results of the analysis.
