The liberalization of the market with electrical energy, which came into effect in the Czech Republic in 2002, brings about new requirements as far as the quality of the supplied electrical energy is concerned. In the paper, the results of a long-term monitoring of the selected parameters of the quality in the regional power company are summarised, (including the evaluation of the trends of change), the results of the monitoring of the extreme power quality parameters together with the results of evaluation of voltage drops in the selected sites of the regional power company.

Począwszy od 2001 r. nowe prawo energetyczne liberalizuje stale rozwijający się rynek energii elektrycznej w Republice Czeskiej. Proces liberalizacji tego rynku powinien zakończyć się w 2006 r. Rozwój urządzeń elektrycznych z nieliniową charakterystyką w sieciach dystrybucyjnych niskiego napięcia (takich jak telewizory, komputery, kopiarki, światła kompaktowe) wpływa na znaczne obniżenie parametrów jakości dostarczanej energii elektrycznej. Kompleksowy monitoring wybranych parametrów jakości napięcia jest prowadzony od 1997 r. w północno-morawskim przedsiębiorstwie energetycznym. Artykuł omawia wyniki dwóch cykli monitoringu jakości energii elektrycznej.

The new energy law has been liberating stepwise market with electrical energy in the Czech Republic since 2001. This market should be liberated completely in year 2006. The expansion of electrical appliances with nonlinear characteristic in distribution networks LV (such as televisions computers, copiers, compact lights) affects strong debasement of quality parameters of the supplied electric power. The complex monitoring of selected parameters of voltage quality has been going in Northern-Moravian Power Company since 1997. This article takes in results of two cycles of monitoring of electrical power quality.
