W artykule opisano badania przyspieszeń poprzecznych w różnych punktach pojazdu specjalnego, których celem było wytypowanie miejsc najkorzystniejszych z punktu widzenia działania sygnalizatora niebezpieczeństwa bocznego wywrotu. Skrótowo opisano ideę działania sygnalizatora i zastosowany czujnik przyspieszeń poprzecznych. Przedstawiono przykładowe wyniki badań w postaci przebiegów przyspieszeń poprzecznych z sześciu czujników i wygenerowane wartości sygnałów alarmowych oraz sformułowano wnioski.

Lateral acceleration research in various points of special vehicle, which objective was to designate the most advantageous points in terms of function of signaling device of side tipping hazard is presented in the paper. It briefly presents the idea of function of the signaling device and describes applied lateral acceleration sensor. The examined vehicle features with complex constructional structure with separated detached segments. Under such circumstances it is particularly justified to research lateral acceleration in various vehicle's points. Figure 1 shows chosen placing points of six sensors, three of which are situated in lower part of a frame and the remaining three in upper part of a cabin and body. Figures 2 and 3 present view of a sensor, acquisition and visualization apparatus of measured parameter. The road test during which lateral acceleration was measured is shown in Figures 4 and 5. The results example of lateral acceleration research are shown in Figure 6a and generated values of alarm signals are shown in Figure 6b. The ending part formulates recommendation in regard of choosing lateral acceleration sensors location on the vehicle, with taking into account the criteria of best functionality of signaling device of side tipping hazard.
