Two last decades of the XX-th century are characterized by significant changes in the air temperature in Poland. Growing air temperatures in different regions of Poland, especially in the last twenty years, result from the increasing values of sensible heat flux used for heating the atmosphere. Sensible heat flux is one of the components of heat balance, therefore this subject has affracted our attention. Heat balance of the active surface, which is each surface where the conversion of mass and energy is proceeded, can be treated as an indicator of warming up. In this paper the following components of heat balance for potatoes during vegetation period (V-IX) were considered: net radiation [W/m2 ], soil heat flux [W/m2 ], sensible heat flux [W/m2 ] and latent heat flux [W/m2 ]. The investigations were performed in the following regions of Poland: Bydgoszcz (1945-2004), Wrocław (1964-2000), Łódź (1954-1995) and Gorzów Wielkopolski (1970-1995). The main purpose of this study is to define the space distribution of all components of heat balance, their variation and tendencies during the potatoes vegetation period (V-IX) in considered regions.

Zmiany klimatu, szczególnie wyraźnie widoczne w ostatnich dekadach XX w., mają olbrzymi wpływ na rolnictwo. Bilans cieplny powierzchni czynnej jest jednym z czynników mających wpływ na klimat. Wpływ ten jest widoczny w zmianach składowych bilansu cieplnego ziemniaka oraz pszenicy jarej, takich jak strumień ciepła utajonego oraz strumień ciepła odczuwalnego. W pracy przedstawiono badania nad zmianami bilansu cieplnego ziemniaka i pszenicy jarej w okresie ich wegetacji, w latach o maksymalnych i minimalnych opadach, na tle zmian bilansu cieplnego w wieloleciu, w dwóch regionach - Wrocław-Swojec (1964-2000) oraz Bydgoszcz (1945-2003).

Increasing frequency of extreme weather conditions is attributed to the global variations in climate. Heat balance of substrate is one of the processes affecting the climate. Variations of heat balance in spring wheat during the growing seasons (April-August) and in potatoes during the growing seasons (May-September) with maximal and minimal precipitation are confronted here with long term changes of the balance. Two regions Wrocław-Swojec (1964-2000) and Bydgoszcz (1945- 2003) were involved in the study.

Zmiany klimatu, szczególnie widoczne w ostatnich dekadach XX w., mają duży wpływ na działalność gospodarczą człowieka. Bilans cieplny powierzchni czynnej jest jednym z czynników wpływających na ostateczny stan klimatu. Wpływ ten jest również widoczny w przebiegu zmian poszczególnych składowych bilansu cieplnego lasu iglastego. W pracy przedstawiono badania nad zmianami składowych bilansu cieplnego lasu iglastego w okresie wegetacyjnym tego ekosystemu (III-X), w latach o maksymalnych i minimalnych sumach opadów, na przykładzie Wrocławia (w wieloleciu 1964-2000) oraz Bydgoszczy (w wieloleciu 1945-2003).

Climate changes, particularly visible in the last decades of the XXth century have paramount influence on human economic activity. Heat balance is one of the factors affecting the climate. That impact is noticeable when variations in heat balance components are examined e. g. in coniferous forest. This paper presents analyses of these variations during the growing season (III-X) in the years with maximal and minimal precipitation sums. The study shows also the changes in heat balance components in Wrocław-Swojec in the years 1964-2000 and in Bydgoszcz in the years 1945-2003.
