Dynamic loudspeakers introduce distortion into reproduced auditory signal, especially in case of operation with high power or low frequency. Assessment of distortion by measuring current of voice coil should allow to compensate or prevent the product of distortion. The paper contains a comparison of displacement capture by optical triangulation displacement sensor, acoustic signal acquired using microphone, voltage and current. In case of processing low frequency signals, acoustic signal captured by microphone is dominated by harmonics of the fundamental frequency, and the laser displacement sensor provides more accurate information about the diaphragm displacement. Harmonics recorded in current have the same character as the displacement signal for low frequency, but for frequencies above the resonance, acoustic signal is a better source of displacement information.

The article presents a non-destructive welded joints assessment (vibrodiagnostics) method, in which, with the use of the Internet, computer networking technologies and laser displacement sensors, the quality of welded steel plates may be monitored. The article also describes the possibilities of analysis of received vibrodiagnostics data on the base of diagnostic parameters analysed in function of time and frequency. The method described in the article allows remotely registering, analysing and diagnosing mechanical systems using vibrodiagnostics and information technologies. Modern, computerized methods exhibit efficiency and reliability of results – they are currently the best measuring tools that can be used in automatic monitoring (structural health monitoring - SHM) of marine structures. It is essential to make objective assessment of the results by NDT users, which is tightly connected with the expertise of norms and regulations of NDT. It may be helpful in this respect to monitor responses from a few sensors, arranged in a few measuring points. NDT results quite often trigger further analysis of durability of an object. The NDT of welded joints method as presented in the article allows remotely and in an IT-aided way analysing and diagnosing mechanical systems with the use of vibrodiagnostics method.

W pracy przedstawiono układ regulacji liniowego serwonapędu elektropneumatycznego, w którym do pomiaru przemieszczenia użyto czujnika laserowego. Zastosowanie takiego czujnika umożliwia wykonanie pomiaru odległości metodą bezkontaktową. W opracowany systemie pomiarowym zastosowano adaptacyjny układ regulacji serwonapędu elektropneumatycznego. Przedstawiono wyniki badań porównawczych dotyczących jakości pozycjonowania przy zastosowaniu laserowej i magnetostrykcyjnej metody pomiaru przemieszczenia serwonapędu.

The paper presents a control system for an electro-pneumatic servo-drive which was used to measure the displacement of a laser distance sensor. The use of this sensor allowed applying the non-contact measurement method. The aim of this study was to develop a measurement system for control of an electro-pneumatic servo-drive. The control system contains an adaptive controller. The paper also presents the results of the positioning quality when using a laser and a magnetostrictive sensor. Laser non-contact sensors are used to accurately measure the length and speed of movement of a device and to optimize the manufacturing process. In laser measuring techniques, there is no need for a continuous contact with the element measured. The basic element of the system is a pneumatic cylinder. This actuator is equipped with a magnetostrictive displacement sensor. Fixing of the magnetostrictive displacement sensor needs changes into the actuator construction. In the case of a pneumatic cylinder, installation of the measuring system is difficult and in many cases impossible. The mounting of the sensor can be a source of the measurement inaccuracy. The laser measurement system can be an alternative to the magneto-strictive method of measuring.

The agglomeration of particles is a process that modifies the physical properties of a product originally manufactured as a powder. During milk powder agglomeration of fluidized bed, resulting agglomerates are sufficiently porous to improve the solubility of the final product but, at the same time, their rigidity decreases and agglomerates can be destroyed during packing. The porosity and rigidity properties depend on both the volume and shape characteristics of the agglomerates. This paper presents a three-dimensional reconstruction technique based on a laser displacement sensor (LDS) applied to characterize milk agglomerates. This technique allows three-dimensional scanning to estimate particle volume and extract shape parameters such as: sphericity, elongation and flatness ratio, shape factor and aspect ratio. This technique was implemented using a mechatronic device with two degrees of freedom. The device is composed of an angular positioning system to rotate the agglomerate and a linear positioning system to displace the LDS. Experimental result allows agglomerates classification according to shape parameters.

Turnout is one of important infrastructures in high-speed railway. In order to study the law of wheel-set lateral displacement when a train passes a turnout at high speed, a wheel-set lateral displacement test system is developed by using laser displacement sensors and a corresponding digital data collection system. The test system is verified to be reliable through a field test focusing on turnout No.18 of Hefei-Nanjing high speed railway in China. Meanwhile, the field test reveals the wheel-set lateral displacement law of EMUs(Electric Multiple Units) as they pass the turnout No.18 at different speeds and from different directions: when the EMUs pass the turnout at high speed, in sections of switch rail top width ranging 15~35mm and nose rail top width ranging 45~65mm, the wheel-sets produce lateral displacement rapidly; comparing two conditions, i.e. the EMUs pass the turnout from forward and from reverse direction, the wheel-set lateral displacement under former condition is bigger and it will cause a bigger lateral vibration acceleration.

The paper presents a concept of use the logical controller and typical pneumatic elements to construction of programmable manipulator. The construction, principle of action and properties of device were described. The paper contains also detailed functional schemes of system, as well as discussion of performed manipulator tests. Finally, the application area of described device was included.

Opisano budowę, zasady działania oraz właściwości urządzenia. Dołączono szczegółowe schematy funkcjonalne zbudowanego układu. Omówiono przeprowadzone testy manipulatora. Wskazano obszar zastosowań opisanego urządzenia.
