A “landscape dominant element” – an object with the greatest range of visual impact on the surrounding space, of a strong form that integrates the entirety of a composition, distinguished by its height, dimensions, colour, material, texture or the variety of its details. The attempts to define the concept presented herein, and which is intuitively perceived as obvious, illustrate its ambiguity. They bring to mind a visual contrast between this subject and others that surround it. This article attempts to analyse views using the author’s computer program. The objects in the photos are characterized by their interference in a panorama silhouette or skyline, size, colour, height, and shape. This helped to identify those that clearly stand out from the other forms, with which they come into visual interaction. The purpose of these considerations is to create tools that allow for a partial objectification of the landscape composition assessment.

Dominanta krajobrazowa – obiekt o największym zakresie wizualnego oddziaływania w otaczającej go przestrzeni, o formie silnej, integrującej kompozycję, wyróżniający się wysokością, gabarytami, barwą, materiałem, fakturą czy bogactwem detalu. Te próby definicji pojęcia, które intuicyjnie odbierane jest jako oczywiste, obrazują jego niejednoznaczność. Wpisany jest w nie także wizualny kontrast pomiędzy tym przedmiotem a innymi, które go otaczają. W artykule podjęto próbę oceny widoków z wykorzystaniem autorskiego programu komputerowego. Obiekty widoczne na zdjęciach scharakteryzowano pod względem stopnia ingerencji w sylwetę panoramy lub „linię nieba”, rozmiaru, barwy, wysokości i kształtu. To pomogło wskazać te z nich, które wyraźnie odróżniają się od innych form, z którymi wchodzą w wizualną interakcję. Celem tych rozważań jest stworzenie narzędzi umożliwiających częściową obiektywizację ocen krajobrazowej kompozycji.

Dominanta krajobrazowa – obiekt o największym zakresie wizualnego oddziaływania w otaczającej go przestrzeni, o formie silnej, integrującej kompozycję, wyróżniający się wysokością, gabarytami, barwą, materiałem, fakturą czy bogactwem detalu. Te próby definicji pojęcia, które intuicyjnie odbierane jest jako oczywiste, obrazują jego niejednoznaczność. The methods of supporting landscape planning and management have been created in the world since the late 1970s, unfortunately Polish experience in this area is still poor. This article has a methodology review nature. Its purpose is to present a method – a description of the parameters and factors that make up the tool for landscape planning and management Visual Landscape Inventory.

Niniejszy artykuł ma charakter przeglądowo-metodyczny. Jego celem jest przedstawienie metody – opis parametrów i czynników składających się na narzędzie wspomagające planowanie i zarządzanie krajobrazem Visual Landscape Inventory.

An increasing importance of the social functions of the forest entails the necessity to modify forestry management in a way which would ensure its social acceptance. This mainly concerns those parts of the forest that are “most visible”, in the surroundings of roads, tourist trails, as well as water bodies. The article discusses the importance of view analyses in forest landscaping. On the basis of the adopted methodological assumptions, the assessment of landscape resources of the forest in the vicinity of a water reservoir in the Kielce Forest District (Radom Regional Forest Directorate) has been made. Available ortophotomaps and aerial photographs taken by UAVs were used for view analyses together with elevation data collected through airborne laser scanning. The results obtained allow to make recommendations for the protection of the reservoir exposure as well as engineering forest management and silviculture. Consequently, the inclusion of visual analyses into the planning stage enables verification of the quality of forest management plans.

Wzrost znaczenia społecznych funkcji lasu powoduje konieczność modyfikacji gospodarki leśnej w kierunku gwarantującym jej społeczną akceptację. Dotyczy to przede wszystkim tych fragmentów lasu, które są „najbardziej widoczne”, w otoczeniu dróg samochodowych, szlaków turystycznych, jak również zbiorników wodnych. W artykule omówiono znaczenie analiz widokowych w kształtowaniu krajobrazu leśnego. Na podstawie przyjętych założeń metodycznych dokonano oceny zasobów krajobrazowych lasu w sąsiedztwie wybranego zbiornika retencyjnego zlokalizowanego w Nadleśnictwie Kielce (RDLP Radom). Do analiz widokowych wykorzystano dostępne ortofotomapy, zdjęcia lotnicze wykonane przez UAV oraz dane wysokościowe pozyskane w ramach lotniczego skanowania laserowego. Uzyskane wyniki dają podstawy do określenia rekomendacji w zakresie ochrony ekspozycji zbiornika oraz inżynieryjno-hodowlanego zagospodarowania lasu. Rezultaty pracy wskazują, że włączenie analiz widokowych do grupy narzędzi planistycznych umożliwi weryfikację jakości planów urządzeniowych lasu.

The increase of interest in golf playing, observed in recent years in Poland, is a reason for the growing demand for building new golf courses. It generates the need for creating an assessment methodology for the solutions used when designing and realizing golf courses. Turf value is a crucial component that affects games quality, therefore valuation of turf is very important (Turgeon, 2004). However, for many players also important are landscape values, which create a setting for playing golf. For this reason, creating a separate, universally used methodology of valuation the golf course landscape is an important aspect. The present paper shows the methodology of golf course landscape assessment by the example of the Toya Golf & Country Club – Wroclaw at Krzyżanowice. The assessment presented includes five aspects: compatibility of the golf course with the surroundings (compatibility of trees and water plants, architectonics and influence on surroundings), the harmony of design and performance (analysis of the landscape dominants used, of view axis, selection of colors and use of helioplastics), the vertical and habitant variety that includes an assessment of distribution of obstacles on a golf course, functionality (play safety and universality) and originality of solutions applied in a golf course. The aspects mentioned are assessed using a point scale and the final value is the sum of partial values.

Wzrost zainteresowania grą w golfa, obserwowany w ciągu ostatnich lat w Polsce jest przyczyną zapotrzebowania na budowę nowych pól golfowych. Przedstawiona praca prezentuje wyniki waloryzacji krajobrazowej pola golfowego Toya Golf & Country Club - Wrocław w Krzyżanowicach. Wszystkie oceniane w trakcie waloryzacji krajobrazowej cechy pola wykazywały najwyższe wartości, co pozwala na stwierdzenie, że realizacja pola golfowego została wykonana w ścisłej harmonii z projektem. Stwierdzono prawidłowe wkomponowanie pola golfowego w krajobraz oraz odnotowano obecność gatunków drzew i krzewów rodzimych, zgodnych z roślinnością naturalną danego obszaru. Nie stwierdzono ponadto ujemnego oddziaływania nowopowstałego obiektu na środowisko przyrodnicze.

The result of increasing interests of golf last years is building of a new golf course. Presented paper shows the results of landscape assessment of a golf course Toya Golf & Country Club - Wrocław. The valuated golf course features point out the highest values. It is the basis of stating, that the golf course realization was made exact balance with project. A right putting of golf course into landscape composition was affirmed. On full size TG & CC golf course the presence of native, compatibles in most cases with natural potential vegetation trees and scrubs species was described. The negative influence of object on natural environment was not noted.
