The article starts off with a detailed presentation of various interpretations of stakeholders and goes on to discuss how standardised management systems can support the process of developing stakeholder relations. Three management systems are considered: quality management (PN-EN ISO 9001:2001), environmental management (PN-EN ISO 14001:1998), and labour safety management (PN-N 18001:1999). The article finishes with defining the ways in which each stakeholder group can influence standardised management systems.
