Impact of oak sawdust addition in the iron ore sintering production on the environment

This article analyzes the formation of emissions and their impact on the quality of the environment in the production of iron ore sinter with the addition of oak sawdust. The contemporary trend is manifested mainly by the reduction of pollutants emitted into the atmosphere; therefore, it is relevant to deal with this issue. Analysis of the impact of the addition of oak sawdust on the production of emissions in agglomeration process was carried out by experiments with laboratory sintering pot. Based on the results of laboratory sintering, with the substitution of coke breeze by oak sawdust in the amounts of 0 %, 8 %, 14 % and 20 %. Overall, the issue of coke breeze substitution in the agglomeration process with various types of biofuels is justified, but it should be explored in more detail.

W artykule przedstawiono wpływ z trocin dębowych zastępujących dodatek koksiku do aglomeratu, z jednoczesnym określeniem oddziaływania tej biomasy na środowisko. Współczesne tendencje opierają się głównie na zmniejszeniu emisji zanieczyszczeń do atmosfery. Badania te prowadzono w laboratorium spiekania, gdzie zastępowano koksik trocinami dębowymi w ilości 0%, 8%, 14% i 20%. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, problem zastępowalności koksiku w procesie aglomeracji z wykorzystaniem różnych rodzajów biopaliw jest uzasadniony, ale powinien być zbadany bardziej szczegółowo.

The present work contains an analysis of knowledge, which were obtained from analysis of the results, which were attained on the laboratory sintering pan. On this laboratory sintering pan there are sufficiently simulating conditions, which are present in the sinter strand. On the basis of the theoretical analyze, analysis measuring data, computing of the balance, production, qualitative and quantitative parameters of the sintering process we can conclude, that in the case of changing of the underpressure of the sucking air the main production parameters in the process of agglomerate production ore influensad. This laboratory sintering pan sufficiently simulates conditions present on the sinter belt in relation to the production of CO, CO2, NOx, SOx and solid polluting substances in the sintering process. We can express the opinion that when changing various parameters of the sintering process (for example, changing underpressure of the sucking air) these emissions can decrease. In connection with high basicity requirements for current agglomerates it is necessary to keep their iron content. For this purpose in view laboratory sintering tests were performed to investigate the effect of sintering ores and concentrates on the agglomeration process and its products. The experiment results were analyzed and summarized in the present paper.

Niniejsza praca przedstawia analizę uzyskanych wyników badań przeprowadzonych w warunkach laboratoryjnego spiekania rud. W laboratoryjnej misie starano się odzwierciedlić rzeczywiste warunki występujące na przemysłowej taśmie spiekalniczej. Na podstawie analizy teoretycznej, analizy pomiaru wyników, szacowania wagi, produkcji, jakościowych i ilościowych parametrów procesu spiekania można stwierdzić, że w przypadku zmiany podciśnienia przesysanego powietrza można kształtować główne parametry produkcyjne w tym procesie. W przedstawianym laboratorium symuluje się warunki występujące na taśmie spiekalniczej w stosunku do powstających spalin i zawartości w nich CO, CO2, NOx, SOx i stałych substancji powstających w procesie spiekania. Można wnioskować, że kiedy zmienia się różne parametry procesu spiekania (na przykład zmiany podciśnienia przesysanego powietrza) emisje te mogą ulegać zmianie. W związku z wysokimi wymaganiami zasadowości bieżących aglomeratów konieczne jest utrzymanie w nich odpowiednich zawartości żelaza. W celu zbadania wpływu jakości rud i koncentratów na proces spiekania i powstających produktów przeprowadzono badania laboratoryjne spiekania. Wyniki tych eksperymentów przeanalizowano i podsumowano w niniejszym artykule.

Composition of current sinter charges increased claims not only on its treatment, but also claims associated with minimalization of environment. Raising amounts of fi ne concentrates and wastes is in contrary to strict ecological requirements. The aim of this paper was declare infl uence of raising content of fi nes concerning to chosen emission parameters in sintering process. For that purpose there was realized laboratory sintering testes and detections of emissions, which characterization and results is in the following.
