Przedmiotem artykułu jest metodyka oceny estetyki elewacyjnych płyt cementowo-włóknistych. Przedstawiono propozycję kryteriów takiej oceny, a także propozycję metody badawczej, umożliwiającej prognozowanie zachowania estetyki takich płyt w czasie eksploatacji, na podstawie przyspieszonego badania starzeniowego.

The subject of the article is a methodology for assessing the aesthetics of fiber-cement facade flat-sheets. A proposal of criteria for such an evaluation was presented, as well as a proposal of a research method that would enable the prediction of the aesthetic behavior of such elements during exploitation, based on an accelerated aging test.

The article is devoted to the search for a universal art criticism method against the background of a crisis in methodology. To this end, the author examines the most important trends of modern architecture through the prism of traditional aesthetic criteria. In the course of this analysis, she presents the specificity of the two “superstyles” (suggested by S. Khan-Magomedov) – classics and modernism. The author extends the meaning of classics and modernism onto the meaning of “traditional architecture” and “modern architecture,” which are considered as projections of two philosophical paradigms: tradition and modernity.

Artykuł dotyczy poszukiwania uniwersalnej metody krytyki sztuki w warunkach kryzysu metodologii. W tym celu autorka rozważa najważniejsze kierunki współczesnej architektury poprzez pryzmat tradycyjnych kryteriów estetycznych. W toku tej analizy pojawia się specyfika dwóch „superstylów” (zaproponowanych przez S. Khan-Magomedova) – klasyki i modernizmu. Autorka rozszerza znaczenie klasyki i modernizmu na znaczenie „architektury tradycyjnej” i „architektury nowoczesnej”, które są uważane za projekcje dwóch paradygmatów filozoficznych: tradycji i nowoczesności.

Badania dotyczą metod zachowania istotnych wartości krajobrazu kulturowego na terenie Gryzonii. Metody te obejmują zarówno wielostopniowe regulacje planistyczne, jak i postawy twórcze architektów ukierunkowane na rozwój lokalnych tradycji budowlanych oraz ochronę obiektów historycznych. Istotną funkcję pełnią architektoniczne mikrointerwencje, które ograniczają nadmierny rozrost miast i wsi przy jednoczesnym zachowaniu historycznych struktur oraz sylwetki zabudowy. Metoda cierpliwego poszukiwania właściwych rozwiązań przestrzenno-formalnych wynika z negocjacyjnego charakteru współpracy architektów z mieszkańcami i traktowania wspólnoty jako klienta/inwestora. Tym samym identyfikacja z miejscem jest kontynuowana mimo zmian, tak w sferze społecznej, jak i w architekturze. Konfrontacja nowych kierunków, tendencji, ideologii z silną oraz głęboko przeżywaną tradycją i środowiskiem uznanym za istotną wartość powoduje weryfikację ich założeń, a w konsekwencji dostosowanie lub odrzucenie. Zmiany są wprowadzane, ale pod warunkiem, że są wpisane w ciągłość historyczną oraz kulturową.

The research concerns methods of preserving significant values of the cultural landscape in Graubünden. These methods include both multi-stage planning regulations and the creative attitudes of architects aimed at the development of local building traditions and the protection of historical objects. Architectural micro-interventions play an important role, limiting the excessive growth of towns and villages, while maintaining the historical structures and silhouette of buildings. The method of patient search for appropriate spatial and formal solutions results from the negotiating nature of the cooperation between architects and residents and treating the community as a client/ investor. Thus, the identification with the place continues despite the changes, both in the social sphere and in architecture. The confrontation of new directions, tendencies and ideologies with a strong and deeply lived tradition and an environment deemed to be of significant value results in their assumptions being verified and, consequently, their adaptation or rejection. Changes are introduced under the condition that they are inscribed in historical and cultural continuity.
