Content available On maximum induced matching numbers of special grids
EN
A subset M of the edge set of a graph G is an induced matching of G if given any two edges e1; e2 ∈ M, none of the vertices on e1 is adjacent to any of the vertices on e2. Suppose that Max(G), a positive integer, denotes the maximum size of M in G, then, M is the maximum induced matching of G and Max(G) is the maximum induced matching number of G. In this work, we obtain upper bounds for the maximum induced matching number of grid G = G n,m; n ≥ 9; m ≡ 3 mod 4; m ≥ 7, and nm odd.

Content available remote Weakly idempotent lattices and bilattices, non-idempotent Plonka functions
EN
In this paper, we study weakly idempotent lattices with an additional interlaced operation. We characterize interlacity of a weakly idempotent semilattice operation, using the concept of hyperidentity and prove that a weakly idempotent bilattice with an interlaced operation is epimorphic to the superproduct with negation of two equal lattices. In the last part of the paper, we introduce the concepts of a non-idempotent Plonka function and the weakly Plonka sum and extend the main result for algebras with the well known Plonka function to the algebras with the non-idempotent Plonka function. As a consequence, we characterize the hyperidentities of the variety of weakly idempotent lattices, using non-idempotent Plonka functions, weakly Plonka sums and characterization of cardinality of the sets of operations of subdirectly irreducible algebras with hyperidentities of the variety of weakly idempotent lattices. Applications of weakly idempotent bilattices in multi-valued logic is to appear.

Content available remote Open set lattices of subspaces of spectrum spaces
EN
We take a unified approach to study the open set lattices of various subspaces of the spectrum of a multiplicative lattice L. The main aim is to establish the order isomorphism between the open set lattice of the respective subspace and a sub-poset of L. The motivating result is the well known fact that the topology of the spectrum of a commutative ring R with identity is isomorphic to the lattice of all radical ideals of R. The main results are as follows: (i) for a given nonempty set S of prime elements of a multiplicative lattice L, we define the S-semiprime elements and prove that the open set lattice of the subspace S of Spec(L) is isomorphic to the lattice of all S-semiprime elements of L; (ii) if L is a continuous lattice, then the open set lattice of the prime spectrum of L is isomorphic to the lattice of all m-semiprime elements of L; (iii) we define the pure elements, a generalization of the notion of pure ideals in a multiplicative lattice and prove that for certain types of multiplicative lattices, the sub-poset of pure elements of L is isomorphic to the open set lattice of the subspace M ax(L) consisting of all maximal elements of L.

Artykuł prezentuje możliwości zastosowania sieci telemetrycznych oraz opisuje problematykę bezprzewodowej transmisji danych pomiędzy mikrokomputerami jednoukładowymi o niewielkiej mocy obliczeniowej. Przedstawiony został cykl pracy sensora i modułu radiowego. Zaprezentowano porównanie układu teoretycznego z rzeczywistym w badaniu czasu życia układu przy zmiennych parametrach wejściowych dla protokołu Aloha.

The paper presents possible applications od telemetry networks and aims to describe the problem of wireless data transmission between single-chip microcomputers with low processing power. The work describes the duty cycles of sensors and wireless module. It also delivers a comparison of the theoretical and real-life approaches in a study of their lifespan with variable input parameters for the Aloha protocol.

Content available remote On duality between order and algebraic structures in Boolean systems
EN
We present an extension of the known one-to-one correspondence between Boolean algebras and Boolean rings with unit being two types of Boolean systems endowed with order and algebraic structures, respectively. Two equivalent generalizations of Boolean algebras are discussed. We show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between any of the two mentioned generalized Boolean algebras and Boolean rings without unit.

Przedstawiono doświadczenia z eksploatacji urządzeń do mechanicznego oczyszczania ścieków w trzech oczyszczalniach w Bytomiu.

Abstract The paper presents the ехреrіеnсе in the operation of equipment of mechanical treatment stage in three biological wastewater treatment plants in Bytom. These plants vary in size and applied methods of mechanical treatment. The influence of a mechanical treatment method on the operation of a biological treatment stage and on the operation costs of other equipment in these plants was also discussed.

Content available remote Quantifiers on lattices with an antitone involution
EN
Quantifiers on lattices with an antitone involution are considered and it is proved that the poset of existential quantifiers is antiisomorphic to the poset of relatively complete sublattices.

Content available remote Valuation and metric on a lattice effect algebra
EN
In the present paper we have derived some properties of the pseudo-metric introduced by Riećanova on a lattice effect algebra E corresponding to a valuation u on E, which turns out to be a metric if u happens to be faithful. Using these properties we have been able to prove that this metric is complete. Also it is observed that the resulting metric space is convex if and only if w is non-atomic if and only if E is atomless.
