Porównano budowę profilową gleb antropogeniczych wytworzonych na hałdach odpadów kopalni łupka łuszczykowego w Krobicy różniących się okresem rekultywacji, wynoszącym 3 i 25 lat. Badany materiał charakteryzuje się bardzo silnym kwaśnym odczynem. Dobry wzrost wykazują mało wymagające gatunki drzew sosna i brzoza. Pod zbiorowiskami tymi tworzą się gleby o słabo wykształconym poziomie próchniczym.

Two soil profiles developing on the waste dump material of mica-schist quarry in Krobica near Mirsk were examined in the paper in order to describe the progress of soil-forming precesses in different time: 3 and 25 years. The characteristic feature of waste material deposed on the dumps is strongly acidic reaction (pH: 2,9-4,1) and this probably the main factor favouring the best growth of resistand tree species: pine Pinus silvestris and birch Betula verrucosa. Under this plant association, the initial soil was formed with weekly developed humus horison containing 8.1% organic matter in its upper part (2 cm) and 0.9% in the lower part (2-12 cm). The mineral soil is overlaid by the organic horizon of the mor type, typical for coniferous forests. On the 3-yer-old dump humus there is only initial form of humic horizon. Some changen in botanical compisotion of introduced species should be considered.
