Príspevok sa zaoberá nadvýšením hrádze popolového odkaliska zemnou konštrukciou vybudovanou zo sprašoidných zemín. Prezentované a vzájomne porovnané sú geotechnické charakteristiky sprašoidných zemín v pôvodnom uložení v zemníku a zemín zabudovaných technológiou hutnenia. Na záver sú uvedené výsledky jednoduchého zhutňovacieho veľkopokusu in situ.
Konstrukcje z gruntu zbrojonego znane są od czasów antycznych. Zatem od dawna starano się wytworzyć kompozyt, który w przeciwieństwie do samego gruntu będzie posiadał wytrzymałość na rozciąganie. Przedstawiamy zasady projektowania i budowy takich konstrukcji.

In the paper most important dimensioning rules of geosynthetic reinforcements based on the regulation of EC 7 with the adaptation to the polish conditions are presented. Especially, the recommendations given in the instruction 429/2007 published by ITB (ITB - Building Research Institute in Warsaw) concerning the estimation of the characteristic and design values of long term tensile strength of geosynthetics were taken into account. Rules presented in the paper enable a proper design of reinforced earth structures taking into account, both: the ultimate limit state and the serviceability limit state. The author emphasizes, that specifications attached to tenders should be prepared very carefully and corresponding to the results of static calculations and results of stability analyses. All assumptions and calculation results should be taken into account, especially: the design value of long term strength, the characteristic value of tensile strength corresponding to the allowable elongation and the value of the bond coefficient between reinforcement and soil. The choice of a suitable product should be performed very carefully, based on proven test reports, in which all values of reduction factors, allowable load ratios for long term conditions and isochrones are well documented.
