The article introduces selected aspects of creating material sets for an external wall connection with a balcony slab. The integral part of this work are calculations and analyses concerning the thermal quality of joints with balcony slabs produced using various construction and material solutions. Proper selections of the material layers of a building case in regards to thermal aspects and humidity essentially influence the building demand for energy (EU, EK i EP) and pollutant emissions into the natural environment.

Obecnie podstawowym kierunkiem badań i prac projektowych winien być tani energetycznie dom - zarówno na etapie realizacji jak i użytkowania. Domy same pozyskujące energię to ciągle jeszcze eksperyment.

Praca obejmuje projekty architektomiczno-budowlane trzech domów jednorodzinnych, obliczenia bilansu cieplnego, omówienie systemów wykorzystujących energię słoneczną. Duży wpływ na encergooszczędność projektowanego budynku ma jego kształt, kubatura oraz zastosowanie aktywnych i pasywnych systemów słonecznych, a także odpowiednich przegród budowlanych.

The thesis contains the architect-building projects of the three detached houses, the thermaI balance calculations, the discussion of the sun energy systems. A great influence on the energy thrift of the projected building has its form, cubature and the usage of the active and passive sun systems also appropriate building barriers.
