In this paper we present the influence of the connections between GSM users, situated in the same base station (intra-cell connections), on the increase of traffic loss. The utilization of Erlang model in this case gives underestimated loss. We suggest one known queuing model for the more accurate calculation in this case. Several numerical examples prove that traffic loss increases with the increase of intra-cell traffic in total traffic and with the increase of the number of channels in the group. The results are confirmed by the simulation.

W artykule opisano wpływ połączenia miedzy odbiorcami (połączenia intra-cell)stacji GSM na zwiększenie strat w komunikacji. Wykorzystanie do tego celu modelu Erlanga daje przeszacowanie strat. Zamiast tego zaproponowano model kolejkowania.

Przedstawiono koncepcję i realizację nadawania raportów w postaci wiadomości SMS - z nadzorowanego procesu przez sterownik PLC i telefon komórkowy. Rolę sterownika PLC może pełnić także prosty mikrokontroler. To rozwiązanie może być korzystne w niektórych zastosowaniach, gdyż pozwala odłączać telefon od sterownika i wykorzystywać go zgodnie z podstawowym jego przeznaczeniem. Zastosowano sterownik Simatic S7-214 i telefon Siemens C35i.

In the paper the idea and realization of the reporting of a process using the cellular phone SMS and PLC or simply microcontroller, is presented. This solution can be used in some applications instead of the expensive professional system containing controller and GSM module. In the proposed reporting system the phone can be disconnected from the controller and applied according to its basic destination, in the time periods when there is no need to have information about process to a distance. The S7-214 Simatic PLC and mobile C35i Siemens phone are used. Programming of the PLC for short message generation according to the program, event and request modes is presented.
