Passenger ropeways represent an original and attractive way of transporting passengers. They are mainly deployed in mountainous conditions or urban agglomerations. In most cases, they are very closely linked to tourism. For their efficient operation and implementation of a wide range of analyses, various methods and approaches are used that differ from each other both in terms of results and input factors. Thanks to its options, the computer simulation method ranks among highly efficient tools. However, its use is often precluded by concerns about the complexity of modeling and the subsequent execution of simulation experiments. This paper presents a discrete simulation model of a real passenger ropeway with an effort to point out the fact that it is actually possible to create such model in addition to presenting a possible interpretation of the obtained results.

This paper is focused on the design of an auxiliary braking device for freight cableway trucks. The device provides continuous deceleration for the trucks before they arrive at the unloading station. It presents an alternative to manual deceleration, which poses safety hazards and is therefore a less suitable option. The design distinctly accommodates the spatial disposition at the unloading station and involves minimal interventions to the existing steel structure. Above all, it aims to increase safety by eliminating the need for human input in the process of decelerating the trucks before they are emptied. The proposed design solution was successfully applied in a real operation.

The present work is aimed to assess the operating conditions effect for urban aerial ropeways with a commercial usage, based on measurements obtained from an arrangement of sensors that record the coupling assembly behavior between the detachable gondola pod and the track rope. The work pays particular attention to the effect caused by external conditions due to the wind loads joined up with other parasite external effects, through the measurement of the engage strains. The cableway gondola continuous cycle has mono-cable of simple ring type.

Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu ocenę efektywnych warunków pracy dla miejskich napowietrznych kolei linowych z praktyką przemysłową na podstawie pomiarów uzyskanych z układem czujników, które rejestrują zachowanie gondoli w trakcie procesu wyprzęgania jej z liny. W artykule zwrócono szczególną uwagę na wpływ warunków zewnętrznych spowodowanych przez obciążenia wiatrem z dołączeniem innych obciążeń zewnętrznych przez pomiar naprężeń w trakcie wprzęgania. Kolej gondolowa jednolinowa ma pojedynczą linę prostego typu pierścieniowego.

W grudniu 2008 r. sensacją było otwarcie kolejki linowej "Peak2Peak" w zachodniej Kanadzie. Dotychczas niemożliwe połączenie naprzeciw siebie leżących terenów narciarskich w górach Whistler i Blackcomb zrealizowano za pośrednictwem trzylinowej kolejki grupy Doppelmayr/Garaventa, lidera technologii budowy kolejek linowych. Znany producent kolejek stawiający na jakość m.in. instalacji elektrycznej wybrał modułowe złącza rzędowe CLIPLINE z dopasowanym systemem oznakowań firmy Phoenix Contact.

The paper is concerned with an analysis of behaviour of the cableway. On the basis of design data and results of adequate experiments, a physical model of cableway was formulated. The static of cableway was developed assuming a full nonlinear model based on elastic catenary curve. The tension of the rope and the reactive forces between the rope and the supports were calculated. Assuming various loadings of the rope, the relation between the tension in bottom and upper stations and the length of the rope was determined. The model describing the motion of the system is linear. Finite elements were used to formulate the model. Two methods of accelerating the system were investigated.

W pracy przedstawiono ogólną analizę statyczną i dynamiczną kolejki linowej. Na podstawie danych konstrukcyjnych oraz wyników odpowiednio dobranych pomiarów zbudowano model obliczeniowy konstrukcji. W obliczeniach statycznych wykorzystano model nieliniowy, linię statystycznej równowagi liny opisano krzywą łańcuchową. Wyznaczono siłę naciągu oraz siły oddziaływania liny na podpory. Do opisu dynamiki zbudowano model liniowy wykorzystujący metodę elementów skończonych. W obliczeniach dynamiki układu rozpatrzono dwa sposoby rozruchu kolejki. Wyniki obliczeń zostały zilustrowane na wykresach.

Górski charakter lasów Słowacji jednoznacznie wymaga przy udostępnianiu lasu stosowanie kolejek linowych. Mimo to zrywane jest przy pomocy kolejek linowych tylko około 2% pozyskiwanego drewna. Przyczyną niskiego wykorzystywania kolejek są w pierwszej kolejności aspekty ekonomiczne, niska kultura techniczna i brak doświadczenia w praktycznym ich stosowaniu. Mimo wyższych kosztów, istnieją duże rezerwy i możliwości ich stosowania, aby mogły być kolejki efektywnie wykorzystywane podobnie jak to było w latach 50 i 60 ubiegłego wie ku. W pracy przedstawiono program komputerowy "LanSoft wersja 02-01", który pozwoli zwiększyć efektywność projektowania trasy kolejek linowych.

The mountain character of forests in Slovakia makes them suitable for wood skid ding by means of cable systems. Even though only 5% of amount of skidded wood is realised by the cable systems. The economic reasons are taken as the main reasons of this situation. In spite of higher investments there are deep reserves and possibilities for more effective utilisation of the cable systems. In our work we maintain several possibilities how to increase the effectivity in projecting the cable ways by using the new software for planning the cable ways LanSoft ver. 02-01 and in utilisation of the cable systems in generally.
