Przedmiotem badań autorki jest architektura dawnego klasztoru paulińskiego w Pińczowie. Inspiracją prac stała się dzwonnica towarzysząca zespołowi. Propozycja rewaloryzacji, mająca na celu przywrócenie jego dawnej świetności, wraz z adaptacją dzwonnicy na punkt widokowy, jest szansą dla rozwoju miasta i regionu. Zespół dawnego klasztoru paulińskiego jest jednym z wielu zachowanych cennych zabytków w Pińczowie, niewielkim mieście powiatowym, położonym między rzeką Nidą a Garbem Pińczowskim, w południowej części województwa świętokrzyskiego, 40 km na południe od Kielc. U podnóża góry św. Anny, w najstarszej, północnej części miasta, wspaniale została wpisana zabudowa zespołu wraz z otoczeniem. Całość składa się z kościoła parafialnego pw. św. Jana Ewangelisty (ryc. 1), dawnego klasztoru paulińskiego i dzwonnicy -strażnicy miasta. Wszystkie obiekty wraz z dzwonnicą mają wartość zabytkową i są wpisane do rejestru zabytków województwa kieleckiego (obecnie świętokrzyskiego).

The object of the author's research is the architecture of the old Paulite monastery in Pińczów. The work has its roots in the issue of the belfry that accompanies the complex of the above mentioned buildings. The revalorization proposal aims at restoring splendour and magnificence to the place which may be obtained through adaptation of the belfry as a vantage point and as a stage en route through similar places in the Ponidzie region. The architecture of the former Paulite monastery is one of a variety of valuable monuments that have survived in Pińczów -a small town located between the river Nida and Garb Pińczowski (Pińczowski Hummock), in the southern part of the Świętokrzyska province. The complex of buildings has been perfectly located at the foot of St Anna's mountain, in the oldest northern district of the town. The whole complex is composed of the parish church of St John the Evangelist, the Paulite monastery and the belfry. All the buildings represent monumental value and arejegistered at the Main Monuments' Record in Kielce. In 1956 the monastery became the property of the Treasury and since that moment has been designated for the purposes of cultural institutions. The object - at this moment called the Belvedere - is composed of the Regional Museum, a cinema, and the Community Centre. The church and belfry belong to the Roman Catholic parish and are used as sacral places. Coincidently, the belfry plays the role of the Town Square bell - the clock tower of the town.
