The process of hydrogen oxidation in the presence of catalysts proceeds at low temperatures with appropriate intensity. The system intended for hydrogen oxidation was discussed in this study and the cobalt catalysts with a high activity and overheating resistance used in this method, were presented. The system activity is determined not only by the nature of the mass with the catalytic activity but also by a form of a given catalyst. The cobalt systems for hydrogen oxidation were prepared in the powder and granular form and were formed in a monolith catalytic insert form. As the supports of the cobalt catalyst gamma - Al2O3 and the metallic foil were used. The physico - chemical properties of the catalyst were determined using different methods: BET, XRD and ICP. The obtained catalytic systems were tested in the low temperature combustion of hydrogen in air.
