The paper presents solutions of flow of viscous and compressible fluids through the return channel realized with the use of ANSYS - CFX program. The presented results were obtained during realization of the project aiming at development of optimum structures of series of types of multi-stage radial blowers. This paper contains results including solutions for five mass streams. On the basis of the solutions, flow loss coefficient will be determined.

Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zastosowania komputerowych metod obliczeniowych w modernizacji kanałów powrotnych i ich sposobu kompensacji w bloku energetycznym. Przy odpowiednich warunkach pracy bloku energetycznego następują nadmierne względne przemieszczenia pomiędzy kanałami powrotnymi od strony komory paleniskowej i cyklonu. Takie przemieszczenia doprowadzają do wykruszenia się betonowych elementów kompensatora co doprowadza do konieczności zatrzymania bloku energetycznego. W tym celu zaproponowano kompleksową analizę pracy tego węzła instalacji oraz zmodernizowano sposób podwieszenia kanałów powrotnych w celu stabilizacji ruchów względnych.

The main objective of the paper is to present the application of computer computational methods in modernization of return channels and how they compensate it in the power unit. At the appropriate conditions of power unit operation the relative excessive displacement occurs between the return channels from the side of combustion chamber and cyclone. Such movements have led to chipping of the concrete elements of the compensator, which leads to the stoppage of the power unit. In this order the comprehensive analysis of the work of the energetic joint was proposed as well as the suspension of return channels was modernized in order to stabilize the relative motion.
