Wprawdzie od wielu lat podstawowe zasady bezpieczeństwa w ruchu drogowym nie uległy radykalnym zmianom, to jednak nadal odczuwalny jest wśród uczestników tego ruchu brak zrozumienia szczególnie granic obowiązków w ścisłej korelacji z uprawnieniami. Z tego głównie powodu autor - na przykładzie zdarzenia polegającego na zderzeniu samochodu osobowego z rowerem - przypomina, że kierujący samochodem wyjeżdżając z posesji włącza się do ruchu, a tym samym ma obowiązek ustąpienia pierwszeństwa innemu pojazdowi lub uczestnikowi ruchu, jednakże z tym zastrzeżeniem, że temu pierwszeństwu musi towarzyszyć uprawnienie.

The essential rules of road traffic safety have not changed radically for years but traffic participants fail to understand especially the limits of responsibilities in close correlation with entitlements. This is the main reason why the author, illustrating his arguments with an accident in which a car collided with a bicycle, reminds drivers that leaving a property they enter the traffic, so they have to yield the right of way to another vehicle or a road traffic participant provided, however, that this right of way is legally supported by an entitlement.

The article puts forward a new type of culverts in roads. Main motive behind the construction of the new type of culverts is presented and examined: considerable height of road-beds at their construction locations and, as a result, unreasonably high road embankments. Snow drifts at roads and possible protection means are also examined. A report on theoretical analysis of the reasons of snow drifts experimental study with road models is included. The model showed low and high drifts blowing at different speeds at roads with and without embankments and with and without a snow-retaining barrier. All experiments were first conducted without cars on the traffic-bearing surface of the road, then with cars. Recommendations regarding road protection against snow are given.

Artykuł przedstawia nowy typ przepustów na drogach. Przedstawiono w nim i zbadano główny motyw budowy nowego typu przepustów takie jak: znaczna wysokość koryt w ich miejscach budowy i ich konsekwencja w świetle nieuzasadnionych wysokich nasypów drogowych. Badane zostały również zaspy śniegu na drogach i możliwe środki ochrony. Uwzględniono raport z teoretycznej analizy przyczyn na podstawie eksperymentalnych badań nad zaspami śnieżnymi, wykorzystując modele drogowe. Niniejszy model pokazał niskie i wysokie zaspy z uwzględnieniem wiatrów wiejących z różnymi prędkościami na drogach z nasypami i barierami przeciwśnieżnymi oraz przypadek bez nich. Wszystkie eksperymenty przeprowadzono najpierw bez samochodów na nawierzchni drogowej, a następnie z samochodami. Przedstawiono zalecenia dotyczące ochrony dróg przed śniegiem.

The paper examines the problem of snow-drafts on roads and ways of mitigating them. The results of theoretical analyses of development of snow-drafts and experimental investigations with road models are presented. Authors examined low and high blowing snows with different wind velocities, roads with road bed at terrain elevation and situated on an embankment, with and without snow protective facilities and with variable amount of traffic. Based on the conducted analyses a set of recommendations for snow protection of roads are provided.

W artykule dokonano analizy problemu występowania zaśnieżania dróg oraz opisano sposoby ich ochrony przed tym zjawiskiem. Przedstawiono także wyniki analizy teoretycznej przyczyn zaśnieżania dróg oraz wyniki badań eksperymentalnych z wykorzystaniem modeli dróg. Badano wpływ małych i dużych opadów śniegu występujących przy różnej prędkości wiatru na drogę usytuowaną w poziomie terenu (zero niwelety) i na nasypie, z uwzględnieniem wpływu obecności zasłon przeciwśnieżnych oraz niewielkiego ruchu pojazdów. Na podstawie wykonanych analiz sformułowano zalecenia dotyczące ochrony drogi przed opadami śniegu.

The concern of this article is the analysis of the impact of increased volume (dilation) and decreased strength of the rock material in the plastic zone on the displacement field in the vicinity of the roadway. Elastic-plastic model of the behaviour of the rock material and the strength criterion of Coulomb-Mohr were assumed. The volume change of the rock material is controlled by the angle of dilation ψ, which determines dilation parameter β that is taken into account in the analysis. The influence of parameter β and the strength of the rock material, after crossing the border state of stress, in the field of displacements in the vicinity of the excavation and rock pressure on the elastic support of the excavation was proved. The relationships determining displacement fields in the plastic zone which were obtained with consideration to in this zone of both the elastic and plastic displacement, as well as the relationships which were obtained without elastic deformations was discussed. The exact form of the equation for the displacement field in the plastic zone depends on how the elastic deformation in the plastic zone is defined. There are three ways of describing these deformations. In the first method it is assumed that in plastic deformation area the elastic deformation constants are equal to the deformation constants at the plastic and elastic border. The second method of description is based on the assumption that the plastic zone is a thick-walled ring whose edges: internal and external have been appropriately debited. In the third method, elastic deformations in the plastic zone were made dependent on the state of stress in the zone. The results are illustrated in a form of response curves of the rock mass.

Zastosowanie modeli fizycznych pojazdów, wykonanych w skali pozwala na zastąpienie szeregu pomiarów pojazdów pełnowymiarowych. Znajomość charakterystyk poszczególnych układów i ich wpływu na dynamikę ruchu pojazdu może być uzyskiwana w trakcie badań stanowiskowych lub symulacyjnych i potwierdzona podczas badań poligonowych pojazdów. W takich przypadkach rozwiązaniem staje się stosowanie badań pojazdów wykonanych w mniejszej skali, szczególnie przydatne podczas wykonywania manewrów w warunkach granicznych, w których mogłoby dojść do przewrócenia pojazdu, lub badania pojazdów nietypowych produkowanych jednostkowo. Jednym z ważniejszych zagadnień jest współpraca koła z nawierzchnią jezdni. Ocena warunków współpracy kół z jezdnią jest przedmiotem artykułu. Zagadnienie to wymaga analiz i spełnienia kryteriów podobieństwa podczas badań modeli fizycznych pojazdów. Wykonano koła w skali 1:5 stosowane w modelu samochodu ciężarowego i przeprowadzono szereg prób zarówno mających na celu określenie charakterystyk samych kół jak i ich wpływu na ruch samochodu.

The use of physical models of vehicles, at a scale allows for replace a number of measurements of full size vehicles. Knowledge of the characteristics of the various systems and their impact on the dynamics of vehicle movement can be achieved during the test bench and simulation and confirmed during the polygon tests of vehicles. In these cases the solution is the application of vehicle tests performed in a smaller scale, especially useful during research in the boundary conditions, which could lead to overturning the vehicle, or the study of unusual vehicles manufactured individually. One of the important issues is the interaction the wheels with the road surface. Assessment of the conditions of interaction the wheels with the road surface is the subject of the article. This issue requires analysis and fulfillment of criteria of similarity during the tests of physical models of vehicles. Made wheels in 1:5 scale used in model of the truck and was carried out a number of tests both to determine the characteristics of these wheels as well as their impact on the movement of the car.

W artykule przedstawiono technologię naprawy segmentowej jezdni mostu. Na nawierzchnię jezdni zastosowano uretan modyfikowany asfaltem. Nawierzchnia jest dwuwarstwowa o trwałych właściwościach przeciwpoślizgowych, dodatkowo tłumiących hałas przejeżdżających pojazdów.

We present the reflections arising from the analysis of the tasks associated with winter maintenance of highways and expressways in Poland and Germany. The author cites examples of the effect obtained after the removal of snow from the road surface and presents ways to ensure the protection of items equipment when clearing the road.
