Effects of physical exercise in winter training conditions on the thermographic temperature distribution of the horse rider’s skin

The purpose of this work was to assess the impact of a specific equestrian training, conducted in winter weather conditions, on the thermovision temperature distribution of a rider’s body surface. The study included a riding pair with 12 years of experience (female rider, aged 25, sports active and 16-year-old horse, Trakehner breed). Methods: The study included the temperature distribution of selected parts of the rider’s body (the area of the right and left shoulder blade, chest and lumbar section, and the region of the left and right cross) was carried out before and after recreational, jumping and dressage training. Each winter training has been repeated, at different times, 10 times, giving a total of 30 workouts. The thermovision measurements were made in a separate room, always under the same conditions. Results: Research has shown that, along with the increase in the level and intensity of the training, the body surface temperature of the rider increased. After recreational driving, this temperature increased, compared to the pre-workout measurement, by 3.15 °C, after jumping through obstacles to 4.39 °C, and in dressage to 5.82 °C. Conclusions: The highest increase in body surface temperature (on the example of dressage training) was recorded in the thoracic and lumbar part of the spine region, then in the area of the left and right scapula, while the smallest in the left and right sacral region of the rider.

W XVIII w. Łazienki Królewskie, Mokotów i Królikarnia, usytuowane były poza Warszawą. W związku z rozbudową stolicy utraciły część zajmowanego obszaru i elementy odpowiadające za harmonijne wkomponowanie w otaczający teren. Porównanie dokumentacji ikonograficznej i kartograficznej z XVIII i XIX w. ze stanem dzisiejszym, pokazuje, które części pierwotnej kompozycji zmieniły swe przeznaczenie. Ogrody te nie tworzą już ciągu połączonych założeń Skarpy Warszawskiej, nadal jednak budują tożsamość miasta.

In the 18th century Łazienki, Mokotów and Królikarnia were located outside of Warsaw. Due to the capital’s expansion, they lost part of their territory and the elements responsible for harmonious integration with the surroundings. An iconographic and cartographic documentations’ comparison with the current state shows, which parts and functions of the composition have been changed. These residences do not create the linked Warsaw Escarpment landcape gardens run, but still build the city identity.

The Importance of Designing Green Areas for an Agritourism Farm Based on an Example in Silginy

The paper presents a design concept for developing the green areas on a farm which plans to operate agritourism in the future. The study was conducted on a farm in the village of Silginy, in the northern part of the Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodeship. A dendrology evaluation and an inventory of existing greenery was conducted. The expectations of the farm owner were taken into account in the design. The proposed design has an irregular shape with flowing lines and uses natural materials such as wood and stone. The design concept features elements needed for different types of recreation: horse riding facilities, a bonfire pit, a fruit orchard, a vegetable and herb garden, a pond with a wooden deck and a bridge. An area was set aside as a children’s playground. The design concept includes a technical design of the vegetation to be used with species that are characteristic for rural landscapes.

W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję projektową zagospodarowania terenu zieleni gospodarstwie, które w przyszłości ma funkcjonować jako agroturystyczne. Obiekt jest usytuowany we wsi Silginy, w północnej części województwa warmińsko-mazurskiego. Podczas badań wykonano waloryzację dendrologiczną i inwentaryzację zieleni. W pracach projektowych uwzględniono oczekiwania właściciela gospodarstwa. Zaproponowano kompozycję w nieregularnym kształcie, o płynnych liniach oraz wykorzystano naturalne materiały, jak drewno i kamień. Koncepcja obejmuje elementy umożliwiające różne formy rekreacji: parkur do jazdy konnej, miejsce na ognisko, sad owocowy, zielnik i warzywnik, staw z drewnianym tarasem i most. Część obszaru przeznaczono na plac zabaw dla dzieci. Uzupełnieniem koncepcji jest projekt techniczny zieleni, w którym przedstawiono rozmieszczenie dobranych gatunków roślin, charakterystycznych dla obszarów wiejskich.

W niniejszym referacie podjęto próbę analizy wpływu długości strzemion w jeździe konnej na obciążenia powstające w kończynie dolnej. Wraz ze zmianą długości strzemion zmienia się kąt zgięcia nogi w stawie kolanowym oraz skokowym.

In this publication we would like to analyse how length of the stirrups effects on loads in the lower limb. The longer stirrups are the bigger knee and ankle angles are. In horse riding there are some kinds of rider‟s positions, which are connected with discipline. Dressage rider„s seat is different than jumping or race seat, so we would like to analyse these differences. For example the long stirrups of the dressage rider allow for a long leg. But the short stirrups of a jockey allow the rider to stay over the galloping horse's center of balance and allow the horse to reach the maximum possible speed.
