The article describes a new method for obtaining fuel properties, derived from the thermal properties of natural gas fuel mixtures. By measuring the thermal conductivity and the dynamic response with the help of a heated Micro Electro Mechanical System (MEMS), input values for a mathematical correlation are obtained which predict the calorific value of the gas. In this paper the fundamentals of the theoretical gas properties, the sensor operation and the first results on a gas test bench are presented.

W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono istotne zalety stworzonych standardów IGG dotyczących oceny jakości gazów ziemnych metodą chromatografii gazowej. Wskazano na różnice pomiędzy standardami IGG i powszechnie uznanymi normami międzynarodowymi, głównie ISO. Przedstawiono również dalsze kierunki rozwoju standardów IGG w zakresie oceny jakości gazów ziemnych.

This article presents significant advantages of IGG standards created for the assessment of the quality of natural gases by gas chromatography. The differences between the IGG standards and universally recognized international standards, especially ISO are highlighted. It also presents future directions of development of the IGG standards in evaluating the quality of natural gases.
