The main issue of this article is presentation of different methods of IT and IT investment evaluation in enterprise. In the first group are methods based on indexes such as EIp, EIC, NPV, IRR and RO1. The second class of methods deals with IT cost management and control and is based on TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) methodology. The last of presented methods, BSC IT (IT Balanced Scorecard), enables managers to locate IT in the enterprise development strategy and to estimate "Value Added" of IT solutions. The final part of the article is a summary of presented information.

In this paper four basic real option for IT investment evaluation are presented. Term "flexibility" of IT investment is introduced to describe embedded attribute of many investments in IT. Flexibility of IT investment has got its value which can be estimated. This paper present four aspects of flexibility of IT projects and propose to evaluate those aspects as real options. For this purpose the Margrabe model for evaluation real options is introduced and explained.
