Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie znaczenia przepływów migracyjnych dla zarządzania zespołami w organizacji. Migracje wpływają na gospodarkę, relacje ekonomiczne i rynek pracy. Współczesne korporacje dają zatrudnienie pracownikom z różnych kręgów kulturowych i etnicznych, wiąże się to z wieloma wyzwaniami. Przedstawiono metody współpracy w zespołach wielokulturowych oraz sposoby podnoszenia efektywności.

The main purpose of the article is to present the importance of migration flows for the team’s management in the organization. Migrations affect the economy, economic relations and the labor market. Modern corporations give employment to workers from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and this involves many challenges. There are presented methods of cooperation and how is possible to improve efficiency in multicultural teams.

The holistic approach to interpersonal communication in dialogue, involving the analysis of multiple sensory modalities and channels, poses a serious challenge not only in terms of research techniques and methods but also from the viewpoint of data infrastructure. In the Borderland project, the process of communicative accommodation is studied in young people in the intercultural context of the Polish-German boundary region. In order to collect, annotate, and analyse research material, a new technical and analytic infrastructure has been developed. Centred around a data management system, it incorporates well-known annotation and transcription tools along with custom-designed transcription and annotation tagsets and procedures. Data and metadata formats are designed to enable further corpus-based analyses of accommodation-related processes, mostly in the paralinguistic domain of prosody and gestures. Data formats used in the project ensure wide interchangeability and usage of almost any analytic software. Previously tested methods of quantitative accommodation analysis are adjusted, supplemented with new custom procedures, and applied to each channel under study as well as to the cross-modal (e.g., prosody - gesture) accommodation processes.

The paper focuses on presentation skills of future managers in the context of their communication competences. Communication skills can give a job-seeker a significant advantage on the labour market. The research makes significant theoretical and empirical contributions to the process of developing the interpersonal communication skills and competences of the future managers, e.g. the students of management. Genre analysis and action research were applied with the aim of deeper understanding and possible explanation of different aspects of the students' presentation skills on professional topics. The outcome of our study showed that the most problematic areas included stylistic and pragmalinguistic aspects of formal organization of the presentations.

Artykuł skupia się na umiejętnościach prezentacyjnych przyszłych menedżerów w kontekście ich kompetencji komunikacyjnych. Umiejętności komunikacyjne mogą dać osobom poszukującym pracy znaczną przewagę na rynku pracy. Niniejsze badanie wnosi znaczący teoretyczny i empiryczny wkład w proces rozwijania umiejętności interpersonalnych i kompetencji przyszłych menedżerów, np. studentów zarządzania. W celu pogłębiania wiedzy i możliwości wyjaśnienia różnych aspektów umiejętności prezentacji studentów w kwestiach zawodowych zastosowano analizę gatunkową i badania w działaniu. Wyniki niniejszego badania wykazały, że najbardziej problematyczne obszary obejmują stylistyczne i pragmalingwistyczne aspekty formalnej organizacji prezentacji.

She first embarks on the socio-historical and anthropological aspects and then moves onto socio-economic and customary issues. The author proves that knowledge about business etiquette in the Arab world, in general and in particular countries remains essential in order to maintain successful business relations.

W artykule autor zwraca uwagę na wpływ braku dialogu pomiędzy narodami na konflikt kultur. jednym z kierunków rozważań był wpływ globalizacji na imperializm kulturowy jako problem współczesnego świata. Oprócz tego, artykuł dotyczy teoretycznych obszarów komunikacji międzykulturowej, jej historycznych źródeł i klasycznych teorii.

The main goal of the article is to describe rudimentary issues concerning cross cultural communication, particularly in the context of keeping and building social order in the world. In the article the author focuses on the influence of the lack of dialogues between nationalities on the conflict of culture. One direction of the author's considerations was the influence of globalization and cultural imperialism on the problems of contemporary world. In addition, the article concerns the theoretical areas of intercultural communication, in particular its historical sources and classical theory.

The extent to which relationships in organizations are co-operative depends on the level of internal integration between functional and departmental groups. These relationships become even more critical in international businesses as well as in geographically dislocated subsidiaries. Cultural characteristics and different factors which managr, facilitatr and/or hinder internal integration present the basis for studying internal integration of different functions. Therefore, the following paper discusses various theories of internal integration and its role in organizations. More specifically, it focuses on logistics and marketing functions and explores studies that have investigated and examined the levels of internal integration of logistics and marketing functions. With the objective to identify potential implications, high/low levels of internal integration may have on intercultural communication which occurs in international business practices, the most prominent cultural frameworks are presented to identify implications different levels of internal integration may have for intercultural communication, in particular between Slovenian companies and their foreign subsidiaries.

W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia dotyczące stereotypów i uprzedzeń wobec innych narodowości w oparciu o wiedzę zawartą w literaturze przedmiotu oraz badania własne prowadzone w wielonarodowych jednostkach wojskowych. Autor skupił uwagę na dwóch obszarach badań stereotypów i uprzedzeń. Pierwszy opiera się na kontekście historycznym i trwałości badanych zjawisk, natomiast drugi dotyczy zmiany stosunku do innych narodowości pod wpływem podwyższenia kompetencji kulturowej pod wpływem faz asymilacji kulturowej. W artykule przedstawiono również cechy charakterystyczne narodowości wchodzących w skład wielonarodowych jednostek wojskowych w oparciu o opinie respondentów.

The article presents the issues of stereotypes and prejudices against other nationalities on the basis of knowledge contained in the literature and own research conducted in multinational military units. The author focuses attention on two research areas of stereotypes and prejudices. The first one is based on the historical context and sustainability of the phenomena studied, whereas the other one relates to changes in relation to other nationalities under the influence of increased cultural competence under the influence of cultural assimilation phases. The paper also presents the characteristics of nationalities that are part of the multinational military units based on the opinions of respondents.

Obecnie, w dobie permanentnych zmian społecznych i nowych wyzwań z obszaru bezpieczeństwa globalnego, teoretycy wojskowi zadają sobie pytania dotyczące kształtu szkolnictwa wojskowego. Zachodząca na ogromną skalę ewolucja technologiczna we współczesnym świecie, a tym samych zmiany w pojmowaniu zagrożeń dla ładu i porządku globalnego, wymusiły ponowne zdefiniowanie obszarów kształcenia żołnierzy zawodowych, a tym samym kadry zawodowej w specjalności logistyka. Nowe wyzwania dla polskiej armii, rozpatrywane w kontekście operacji pokojowych i misji stabilizacyjnych, nadały tej dziedzinie wiedzy wojskowej nowy ciężar gatunkowy, wymuszając tym samym konieczność wprowadzenia zmian w programach kształcenia i szkolenia, adekwatnych do potrzeb współczesnych konfliktów zbrojnych.

The present article concerns problems of the education of logistic officers in context of the social changes and challenges of XXI century such as of terrorism. Author described basic notions as well as introduced contemporary military logistic and her development in context of conflicts. He concentrated his attention on very important issues from the area of language and cultural education. The author attempted to the tests and judge the possibility of changes in current education system for the officers of logistic, particular in area of the cultural education. He also introduced the whole scale of defects and lacks of the system of the education and showed the main causes of cultural conflicts, which arise on the ground of lack of knowledge about other ethnic groups.

Warunkiem skutecznej komunikacji między ludźmi pochodzącymi z innych kultur jest sprawność w zakresie komunikacji międzyludzkiej w obrębie własnej kultury. Obejmuje ona m.in.: znajomość komunikacji niewerbalnej, umiejętność rozpoznawania i pokonywania barier komunikacyjnych oraz umiejętność budowania pomostów komunikacyjnych, dzięki empatii, asertywności i aktywnemu słuchaniu.

At the present world, grows the necessity of communication between people, groups and nations. The condition of effective communication between people from other culture is proficiency in personal communication in our own culture. Communication proficiency, it means: skills in non-verbal communication, identification and overcoming the barriers to communication and competence in building platforms for communication, thanks to: empathy, asertiveness and active listening.
