Zmiany, jakie następują w zagospodarowaniu przestrzennym Warszawy, wymuszają aktualizację dotychczasowych planów w zakresie funkcji i rozwoju układu drogowego. Wywołują potrzebę poszukiwania nowych przebiegów tras drogowych, zwykle w terenie silnie zurbanizowanym. W takim przypadku, często jedynym możliwym rozwiązaniem technicznym jest budowa tuneli. Artykuł przedstawia wyniki analiz planistyczno-technicznych wykonanych w Instytucie Dróg i Mostów Politechniki Warszawskiej, związanych z poszukiwaniem nowego przebiegu zachodniego odcinka Obwodnicy Śródmiejskiej Warszawy. W ramach analiz sprawdzono możliwość usytuowania dwóch długich tuneli drogowych, uwarunkowania ich realizacji i możliwe rozwiązania techniczne, wpływ tuneli na przyszły ruch drogowy oraz koszty i korzyści społeczne.

The changes in spatial development of Warsaw enforce updates of existing plans as it concerns their functions and the road system. There is a need to search for a new routes, usually in heavily urbanised areas. In this case, often the only possible technical solution is the construction of tunnels. The article presents results of planning and technical study made in the Institute of Roads and Bridges of the Warsaw University of Technology, associated with the exploration of the new western section of the ring road of downtown Warsaw. Within the framework of the analysis the possibility of positioning the two long road tunnels were exemined, conditions for their implementation and possible technical solutions, the impact of the tunnels on the future traffic and the costs and benefits to society.

The continuous development of urban areas significantly affects the life, functioning, moving residents of the urban agglomeration. For that reason, the only way to increase the parking capacity in cities is to construct more multistory parking lots. Direct correlation of social, environmental and economic factors sets the way of parking lot planning and design basing on sustainable development principle. The article describes the variables that influence the parking lot management model and presents computer methods that can be used to identify the factors affecting it. The measurements of traffic intensity at the entrance and exit of a shopping centre in Wroclaw are also included. The developmental nature of this project requires that certain problems to be analysed more closely. The article includes the impact of the use of telematic tools to manage parking lots.

Przeprawa tunelowa bądź mostowa przez Martwą Wisłę w planowaniu rozwoju sieci ulicznej Gdańska była od wielu lat traktowana jako element warunkujący jakościową zmianę funkcjonowania tej sieci. Obecnie budowa tunelu pod Martwą Wisłą stwarza nowe perspektywy nie tylko dla obsługi transportowej terenów przemysłowo-portowych, ale także dla przejęcia części ogólnomiejskiego ruchu z przeciążonych tras obszarów śródmiejskich.

In the planning of road network development in Gdańsk, a tunnel or bridge crossing the Martwa Wisła has for many years been seen as an essential element for improving the quality of functioning of that network. The building of a tunnel under the Martwa Wisła now creates new prospects not only for transport services to the industrial and port areas, but also for the removal of some of the city’s overall traffic from overloaded city centre routes. This is confirmed by forecast traffic volumes for the tunnel and for neighbouring roads.

W artykule na przykładzie płytowego żelbetowego wiaduktu drogowego znajdującego się nad autostradą A2 zostanie zaprezentowana analiza zmęczeniowa i na jej podstawie oszacowana zostanie trwałość obiektu w zależności od prognozowanego natężenia ruchu, zwłaszcza ruchu ciężkich pojazdów. Analiza zostanie przeprowadzona zgodnie z systemem norm europejskich PN-EN oraz dotychczas stosowanych norm PN.

The article presents the fatigue analysis of the slab viaduct made of reinforced concrete over the A2 motorway, and basing on it, the structure’s life span has been assessed, depending on the traffic intensity prediction, especially of heavy vehicles. The analysis has been carried out in conformity with the system of European PN-EN norms, as well as of the PN norms applied so far.

W niniejszym referacie zweryfikowano hipotezę o typie rozkładu dla dziennej liczby zgłoszeń w różnych punktach raportowych systemu VTS na torze wodnym Szczecin - Świnoujście. Porównano parametry strumienia statków dla różnych kierunków ruchu.

In this paper, on the basis of data from VTS system on the waterway Szczecin -Świnoujście, the hypothesis about type of random distribution of daily number of vessel reports, has been tested. To achieve this goal the chi square Pearson test has been used. Vessel stream parameters for different traffic directions have been compared.

One of the fundamentals of development in each European country in the northeast is the proper transport infrastructure. Despite of the enormous increase in traffic on all sorts of roads, the modernization and building of new transport corridors lags. An essential step to change this situation will be the creation of a complex system of the development of communication connections and infrastructure in the region. This will be possible with a large share of the EU funds as well as the determination of individual countries of the north-east.
