The subject of this article is the issue of "the required operational capabilities of the reconnaissance subsystem in the anti-access/area denial system". When defining the assumptions for the reconnaissance subsystem in the A2/AD system, several assumptions were adopted for the analyses resulting from the concept of military operations from the beginning of the 21st century. These assumptions were derived from analyses carried out as part of conferences, seminars, research work, and army command and staff exercises (see: Wrzosek, 2020). Moreover, epistemological achievements in the field of military thought were used to generate solutions. The accumulated knowledge is the basis for concluding that the current reconnaissance subsystem does not meet the requirements, full perception of various reconnaissance data obtained from the area of operations and the translation of aggregate knowledge into the cognitive sphere of commanders and staff. Additionally, it was established that in the current organizational and functional solutions, the commander's knowledge is based on an understanding of the area of operation and the enemy troops' situation. Meanwhile, the new scope of reconnaissance tasks under the A2/AD system requires collecting knowledge from all domains where the fate of a military conflict is decided.

The article discusses how the people of science and scholars made their living in occupied Poland (1939-1945). The problem is shown on the example of the wartime fate of an outstanding historian, Stefan Kieniewicz (1907-1992), whose diaries, juxtaposed with a variety of source material (including the materials from the German Archive Office [Archivamt]), allow for a relatively detailed analysis of the topic. The story stemming from these documents shows a survival strategy that seemed an obvious choice for a representative of the landed gentry intelligentsia. It was based on the use of education and family connections. Education allowed Kieniewicz to take up intellectual jobs, which he kept simultaneously in the Treasury Archive (Archiwum Skarbowe, Finanzarchiv) taken over by the Germans and in the apparatus of the Underground State (Information and Propaganda Office of the Home Army Headquarters). It also made him eligible for the support provided to the authors by the Warsaw bookseller, M. Arct. The income from these jobs was usually not enough for Kieniewicz to support his family in Warsaw. Up to a point, the deficit was covered by selling off valuable movable property and giving up the gentry lifestyle. Ultimately, the family used the hospitality of their relatives and moved to the estates in Ruszcza and Topola. The Warsaw Uprising deprived the Kieniewiczs of the remains of their possessions, and the agrarian reform deprived their more affluent relatives of property. These events concluded the transformation of Kieniewicz’s social status into the ‘academic intelligentsia’.

This paper is based on the results of an experiment aimed at studying attention distribution and switching among students using a stationary eye-tracking device. The hypothesis was that the operator’s distraction tolerance should be influence by his or her general mental strength; temperament, which is a derivative of the characteristics of the nervous system; and the level of intelligence, as a general indicato of the state of the nervous system. In addition, the paper discusses the results of psychological assessment, which are not directly related to the issue of distraction tolerance but indirectly affect it. These results are compared with characteristics that directly affect distraction tolerance.

Jego celem jest stworzenie nowej generacji inżynierów mających nie tylko wiedzę i umiejętności tradycyjnych inżynierów, ale również umiejętności osiągania sukcesów, szczególnie w dziedzinie wynalazczości.

The convergence of logistics megatrends, including transformations in logistics models, the growing influence of modern, innovative and intelligent technologies, the use of ICT technology and global competition (e-trade and e-purchasing development, mobile services expansion) have led to a new concept known as the “Intelligent Enterprise”. This concept is a relatively young field in modern business management. As physical assets are given a digital voice, the Intelligent Enterprise allows businesses to run operations more efficiently and make better decisions with improved real-time visibility. Achieving greater enterprise asset intelligence offers businesses a sense of what is happening in their operations, provides them with a way to quickly analyse the information and gives them a platform to act on it to reach higher levels of growth, productivity and service. The aim of the paper is to describe of the concept of an Intelligent Enterprise and provide the specification of its characteristics. The objective is to be achieved through analysing the author's surveys results carried out in 2018. The studies were conducted on a group of 80 people – managers in manufacturing companies responsible for supply chains management.

Zgodnie z Rozporządzeniem Ministra Zdrowia z dnia 8 lipca 2014r. w sprawie badań psychologicznych osób ubiegających się o uprawnienia do kierowania pojazdami, kierowców oraz osób wykonujących prace na stanowisku kierowcy (Dz. U. z 2014r, poz. 937) jednym z elementów badania psychologicznego jest zbadanie sprawności intelektualnej i procesów poznawczych. Do pomiaru tej sprawności stosowane są narzędzia psychologiczne w postaci testów. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiony został związek inteligencji z funkcjonowaniem poznawczym i psychomotorycznym oraz z cechami osobowości mającymi wpływ na funkcjonowanie w ruchu drogowym, w oparciu o analizę literatury przedmiotu oraz badania przeprowadzone w Instytucie Transportu Samochodowego w 2017r.

According to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of July 8, 2014 on the psychological tests of persons applying for the vehicles driving license and drivers and persons performing duty of a driver (Journal of Laws of 2014, item 937), one of the elements of a psychological tests is to examine intellectual performance and cognitive processes. To measure this efficiency, psychological tools in the form of tests are used. This article presents the relationship between intelligence and cognitive and psychomotor functioning as well as personality traits having an impact on functioning in the road traffic, based on the subject literature analysis and the research conducted at the Motor Transport Institute in 2017.

Rozważając antropologiczne i socjologiczne aspekty rozwoju miasta zabytkowego jakim jest Zamość należy wspomnieć o tych elementach życia mieszkańców, które wnosiły wartości intelektualne w przestrzeń kulturową miasta, wpisanego w 1992 r. na Listę Światowego Dziedzictwa Kultury. W pracy przypomniano wyjątkowe miejsce spotkań zamojskiej inteligencji w latach 1957-2003, kawiarnię „Ratuszową”. Znajdowała się ona w centralnym punkcie miasta, w zamojskim ratuszu. W artykule udowadnia się, że nie było to tylko miejsce beztroskiej rozrywki ale konkretnej, twórczej dyskusji i pracy. Przypomniano także „życie kawiarniane” i stałych bywalców kawiarni Lwowa, Krakowa i Warszawy.

While considering the anthropological and sociological aspects of development of the historic city of Zamość, it is necessary to mention the elements of its residents’ life that brought intellectual values in the cultural space of the city entered in 1992 into the List of World Cultural Heritage. The paper has recalled a unique meeting place of the Zamość intelligentsia in the years 1957-2003 - the Ratuszowa café. It was located in the very heart of the city, in the Zamość Town Hall. The paper proves that it was not only a place of careless entertainment but of creative debate and work. It has also evoked memories of the “café life” and regular visitors to coffeehouses in Lviv, Krakow and Warsaw.

Purpose: The aim of the paper is to identify the research efforts of the coming machine tool improvements towards the intelligent level of development. Design/methodology/approach: An approach to the machine intelligence will be based on a holistic modelling of machine tool system components and a process generating tool path, digitalization, virtualization and improvement for adaptive control of machine tool and process behaviour in real time. Findings: Intelligent procedures for machine and process efficiency control based on real time machine and process monitoring, on-line tool path generation, optimization and adaptive control. Research limitations/implications: A real time reachability for the high speed cutting and achievable computing power for the real time simulation of the tool path generation process. Practical implications: High efficient manufacturing. Originality/value: A unique presentation of the state of the art in knowledge oriented on concepts of intelligent machine tools generation as the coming level of development.

Emotional Intelligence as cybernetics approach is using cognitive reasoning to collect the subjective attribute of human subject interacted with a system for providing technical advice. This talk contributes in new Cybernetics paradigm on using multidisciplinary in decision making. It is related to the construction of Avatar that can interact with human subject for collecting subjective attributes (emotional and cognitive) and objective attributes (physical), for decision making. paper extends reasoning issues on medical diagnosis related to Virtual Doctor System (VDS). Intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation functions have been used to represent concept reflective to the mental model of the VDS. The VDS project used two physical ontology model and mental ontology model aligned on medical ontology for reasoning. In this paper the mental ontology related to medical diagnosis is the main emphasis. The mental Ontology is represented as two models: Emotion state model, and ego state model. The attributes of mental state are represented as fuzzy intuitionistic criteria. The emotion state related attributes are represented using harmonic hybrid weighted Ordered Intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation function. The ego state related attributes are represented using Bonferroni hybrid weighted average aggregate function. The both aggregate functions as well as the physical ontology aggregate functions are aligned on medical knowledge based for producing aligned inquiry for reasoning in medical knowledge. The model is built for testing.

W artykule przedstawiono ogólną charakterystykę współczesnych obrabiarek skrawających i rolę, jaką pełnią w osiąganiu dużej wydajności wytwarzania wyrobów. Szczegółowo omówiono uwarunkowania ich rozwoju wynikające z ciągłego rozwoju wyrobów, ich złożoności i potrzeb rynku. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono doskonaleniu struktury obrabiarek i jej odmian, które powstały w odpowiedzi na potrzebę ciągłego i elastycznego zwiększania wydajności obróbki. Omówiono znaczenie rozwoju struktur wielozadaniowych, hybrydowych i rekonfigurowanych. Przedstawiono istotę rozwoju zespołów wrzecionowych, jako modułów, mających decydujący wpływ na wydajność obróbki, a zwłaszcza jej dokładność i koszt. Ponadto pokazano trendy rozwoju zespołów posuwowych oraz układów pomiarowych drogi.

In this article, a general characteristic of modern cutting machine tools and their role in achieving high efficiency in product processing is presented. The conditions of their development, resulting from constant product development, their complexity and market needs, are discussed in detail. Special attention is paid to the perfection of machine tool Structure and its variations which have been created as a response to the constant and elastic increase of machining efficiency. Importance of developing multitask, hybrid and reconfigurable Structures is discussed. The essence of the development of multi-spindle units was presented as modules having a decisive influence on the machining efficiency, especially its precision and cost. Additionally, development trends of feed units and distance measurement systems are demonstrated.

W artykule przedstawiono różne podejścia do problematyki stylu zarządzania spotykane w nauce o organizacji i zarządzaniu. Scharakteryzowano model organizacyjnej inteligencji, na którym oparto nowoczesny sposób oddziaływania na podwładnych. Wykazano, iż posługiwanie się przez przełożonego wybranym stylem zarządzania powinno być przedmiotem ciągłej analizy, a sam przełożony w swojej pracy powinien się zmieniać i rozwijać. Zwrócono również uwagę na potencjalne bariery w oddziaływaniu na podwładnych przez uczenie się. Zaliczono do nich: standardowe instrumenty oddziaływania, niechęć do delegowania uprawnień oraz coaching.

Different views of management styles in the organisation and management science were presented. The model of organisational intelligence as base of modem manner of influence on subordinates was characterised. It was shown that the use of a specific management style should be an object of a permanent analyse and that also a manager should change and develop in his work. Some potential barriers of this learning process - like standard management instruments, centralisation and coaching were described.
