Content available remote Tractability of multi-parametric Euler and Wiener integrated processes

We study average case approximation of Euler and Wiener integrated processes of d variables which are almost surely rk-times continuously differentiable with respect to the k-th variable and 0 ≤ rk ≤ rk+1. Let n(ε; d) denote the minimal number of continuous linear functionals which is needed to find an algorithm that uses n such functionals and whose average case error improves the average case error of the zero algorithm by a factor ε. Strong polynomial tractability means that there are nonnegative numbers C and p such that [formula]. We prove that the Wiener process is much more difficult to approximate than the Euler process. Namely, strong polynomial tractability holds for the Euler case iff ...[formula]. Other types of tractability are also studied.

Dehydrogenation of propane in the presence of CO2 was considered as an alternative to commercial dehydrogenation pathway of obtaining propene and the new sources of synthesis gas. Based on thermodynamic calculations and a catalytic tests it was shown that by controlling CO2 concentration in the feed the molar ratio of H2/CO (synthesis gas) in the products mixture can be regulated. Several different pathways of DHP-CO2 process integration with commercialized chemical processes utilized synthesis gas were proposed.

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań doświadczalnych przebiegu procesu reaktywnej ekstrakcji kwasu cytrynowego z roztworu wodnego z użyciem dwutlenku węgla w stanie nadkrytycznym. Zbadano wpływ parametrów procesowych (temperatury, szybkości mieszania, czasu realizacji) na przebieg i efektywność procesu. Wyniki badań doświadczalnych prowadzonych z zastosowaniem dwutlenku węgla w stanie nadkrytycznym porównano z wynikami otrzymanymi przy użyciu rozpuszczalników organicznych: 1 -oktanolu i n-heptanu.

In this paper the results of experiments of reactive extraction of citric acid from aqueous solution with the use of supercritical carbon dioxide are presented. The influence of process parameters (temperature, stirrer speed, time) on the process course and efficiency was investigated. The results of experiments obtained with the use of supercritical carbon dioxide were compared with those obtained using organic solvents: 1-octanol and n-heptan.

In the future, we need perfect plants for the production of new vehicles and will depend on the degree of efficiency and profitability across different supply chains, this is, the competence won't be between companies, but between supply chains, and if we design an efficient and competitive chain from the same initial development, then will have lasting, safer and greener new vehicles.

Przedstawiono koncepcję produkcji wodoru z jednoczesną sekwestracją C02. Do praktycznej realizacji zaproponowano zastosowanie zintegrowanego procesu adsorpcji reaktywnej. Jako adsorbent, zaproponowano wykorzystać popioły lotne, które stanowią użyteczny odpad z elektrowni i elektrociepłowni. Koncepcja ta umożliwi wyeliminowanie technologicznych problemów związanych z regeneracją adsorbentu, a jednocześnie poprzez trwałe związanie CO2 zapewni ograniczenie emisji tego gazu do atmosfery.

Idea of hydrogen production with simultaneous CO2 sequestration is presented in the paper. The application of the integrated reactive adsorption process is proposed. The use of fly ashes from power plants as well as from combined power and heat plants are recommended for this purpose. This idea helps to eliminate technological problems with adsorbent regeneration and simultaneously to reduce the C02 emission to atmosphere.

In the paper a general model of the reactive adsorption process has been elaborated. An analysis of this process, which employs the statistical moment theory, has been carried out and presented. Based on this method, an influence of operating conditions as well as parameters of elementary processes on the efficiency of entire process has been quantitatively estimated. This makes possible discussion of the process efficiency and its optimization.

In the paper integrated process of reactive chromatography carried out in an annular chromatographic reactor has been described. The mathematical model of this reactor containing differential balance equations for reactants in the mobile as well as stationary phase has been also elaborated. On the basis of numerical simulations, an influence of the operation variables as well as system properties on the process efficiency has been estimated.

In the paper multifunctional reactors, which are a practical implementation of the concept of chemical processes integration are presented. A general classification and characteristics of multifunctional reactors employed to execute the reactive separation processes have been given. Adsorptive and chromato-graphic reactors have been chosen to present and discuss main advantages and difficulties of reactive separation processes.
