Development of a circular economy is one of the goals of the European Union. It is hard to picture a success in this field without the engagement of households. In the paper an attempt to answer the following research question was made: “What factors impact human behaviour that engages them into circular economy?” In the research, a thorough survey has been carried out in Lodz in July 2019. The results are diversified in terms of gender, age, and education.
