W artykule wskazano, że w warunkach wysokiego poziomu rozwoju gospodarki usługi stają się jednym z czynników stymulujących ten rozwój. Specyficzne cechy usług sprawiają, że innowacyjność sektora usług pod wieloma względami różni się od innowacyjności sektora produkcyjnego. Stworzenie nowej usługi wymaga nowej koncepcji, nowych kanałów dystrybucji i form interakcji z klientem, nowego systemu dostarczania usługi oraz zaangażowania nowych technologii. Pierwszym etapem wdrażania innowacji jest często adaptacja nowej technologii. Realizacja projektów innowacyjnych wiąże się z koniecznością ponoszenia nakładów, które są trudne do pozyskania. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja czynników aktywizujących działalność innowacyjną firm usługowych oraz ocena wyposażenia przedsiębiorstw usługowych w wybranych sekcjach PKD w technologie informacyjno-telekomunikacyjne i systemy informatyczne.

The paper reveals that in the situation of highly developed economies Services become one of the factors stimulating their development. Specificity of Services causes that in many respects innovativeness in the Service sector is different from that in the production sector. Creation of a new Service requires a new concept, new distribution channels, new forms of interaction with the client, a new system of Service delivery and involvement of new technologies. Very often adaptation of the new technology is the first stage in the implementation of the new technology. Implementation of innovative projects is often combined with the necessity of incurring expenditures the funds for which are difficult to win. The aim of this paper is to identify the factors spurring innovation activities in Service rendering companies and to evaluate the IT technologies and systems the Service rendering enterprises in the selected NACE sections are equipped with.
