The purpose of the article is to study the impact of investment and innovation development of agricultural enterprises on the financial security level. In today’s economy, one of the most common causes of a financial crisis at an enterprise is the lack of an effective mechanism for managing financial security. Especially in the context of neutralising the risks of doing business, it is important to ensure the investment and innovation development of agricultural enterprises. The study used scientific methods: abstract and logical - for theoretical generalisations and conclusions, tabular and graphical - for visualisation of the study results; analysis and synthesis - to find out the reasons that determine the change in the financial security level of the studied enterprises. The study results presented in this paper are important for formulating offers for investment and innovation development in the context of ensuring an adequate level of agricultural enterprises’ financial security.

W opracowaniu określono wpływ działalności innowacyjnej i inwestycyjnej przedsiębiorstw rolniczych na poziom bezpieczeństwa finansowego. We współczesnej gospodarce jedną z najczęstszych przyczyn kryzysu finansowego w przedsiębiorstwie jest brak skutecznego mechanizmu zarządzania bezpieczeństwem finansowym. Szczególnie w kontekście neutralizacji ryzyka prowadzenia działalności gospodarczej, ważne jest zapewnienie innowacyjno-inwestycyjnego rozwoju przedsiębiorstw rolniczych. W badaniach wykorzystano metody naukowe, tj. abstrakcyjną i logiczną - do uogólnień teoretycznych i wniosków, tabelaryczną i graficzną - do wizualizacji wyników badań oraz analizę i syntezę - do ustalenia przyczyn determinujących zmianę bezpieczeństwa finansowego przedsiębiorstw. Uzyskane wyniki badań mają znaczenie dla określenia kierunków działalności innowacyjnej i inwestycyjnej w przedsiębiorstwach rolniczych, w aspekcie zapewnienia odpowiedniego poziomu ich bezpieczeństwa finansowego.

This study focuses on the development of a specific type of Intelligent Agents — Business Virtual Assistants (BVA). The paper aims to identify the scope of collaboration between users and providers in the process of agent development and to define the impact that user interpretations of a BVA agent have on this collaboration. This study conceptualises the collaboration between providers and users in the process of the BVA development. It uses the concept of the collaborative development of innovation and sensemaking. The empirical part presents preliminary exploratory in-depth interviews conducted with CEOs of BVA providers and analyses the use of the scheme offered by Miles and Hubermann (1994). The main results show the scope of the collaboration between BVA users and providers in the process of the BVA development. User engagement is crucial in the development of BVA agents since they are using machine learning algorithms. The user interpretation through sensemaking influences the process as their attitudes guide their behaviour. Apart from that, users have to adjust to this new kind of entity in the market and learn how to use it in line with savoir-vivre rules. This paper suggests the need to develop a new approach to the collaborative development of innovation when Artificial Intelligence is involved.

This article seeks to address the pressing issue of developing the innovative activity of the domestic economy through the use of the potential of small and medium-sized enterprises, which has to do with the possibility of application of existing experience of the more developed foreign countries in order to achieve economic success. The purpose of this study is to examine the trends in the development of innovative activity of small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine, as well as to determine the distribution of the total amount of expenditures by areas of innovation. Analysis of the literature on this issue has shown that the economic development of a country depends on many factors, and the use of intellectual potential is quite a significant factor in modern society. The relevance of this issue is supported by the fact that the majority of developed countries that have high levels of national income and are distinguished by the quality of life of the population are introducing the latest innovative inventions and using them appropriately in: production, agriculture, trade and other fields of activity. The research of the development of innovation activity of small and medium-sized enterprises in the article is carried out in the following logical sequence: analysis of small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine, analysis of small and medium-sized enterprises of EU countries, evaluation and comparison of innovation activity of Ukraine and EU countries. The methodical tools of the study included methods of statistical analysis. The study period was 2010-2018. The object of analysis is the process of development of innovation activity of small and medium-sized enterprises, as they are the majority of enterprises in Ukraine. The article presents the results of the analysis of the state of innovation the activity of small and medium-sized enterprises, which showed that our country needs significant transformation in this direction. Studies show that increasing the turnover and the production of small and medium-sized enterprises depends on the level of innovative development. The results of the study may be useful for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Obecnie coraz większe znaczenie dla rozwoju innowacyjnego ma współpraca pomiędzy funkcjonującymi jednostkami badawczo-rozwojowymi(JBR)a sektorem MSP, który obecnie stanowi jeden z istotniejszych elementów polskiej gospodarki. Najchętniej podejmowana przez te jednostki aktywność związana jest z działalnością badawczo-rozwojową oraz świadczeniem różnych usług na rzecz MSP (doradczych, informacyjnych czy też szkoleniowych). Znacznie rzadziej podejmowane są działania związane z innowacjami marketingowymi oraz organizacyjnymi. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest dokonanie analizy działań JBR w kontekście ich znaczenia dla rozwoju innowacyjnego małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw. Przedstawione wyniki są efektem badań naukowych przeprowadzonych w ramach projektu finansowanego przez NCN.

Nowadays more and more important for the development of innovation is cooperation between research & development institutions(RDI) and the SME sector, which currently represents one of the most important elements in the Polish economy. The most taken activities by these institutions are associated with research and development activities and various services such as: advisory, information or training stuff. Much less frequently undertaken activities related to marketing and organizational innovations. The purpose of this article is to analyze R&D activities in the context of their importance for the development of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises. The presented results are the effects of research carried out in the framework of a project funded by the National Science Centre.

The research considers the reasons for the loss of competitiveness of enterprises under its subspecies. Correlation of major functional competitiveness strategies occurred within the limits which implemented measures STPP strategies and higher levels. The influence innovation processes under STPP were considered as part of the production and technological strategies for achieving competitiveness.
